Any word on what happened to some of the VRFirsttimers videos? Looks like they kind of went defunct a year or 2 ago. However most of their videos are still on SLR but some scenes have completely disappeared such as the Nikole Nash and Angel Youngs scenes off the top of my head, but a few others as well.
Some videos are being removed for compliance purposes
[deleted] What did the guy do? I would assume that he is running the studio because from time to time you can watch him getting a bj while filming with several cameras for his other network sites. He and that girl might even be an item. I guess the occasional depiction of liquor and weed consumption might be enough for non-compliance.
Patreon isn’t really a porn centric company though. It’s more along the lines of crowdfunding and used a lot by YouTube creators.
I am a fan of age verification and blocking kids from seeing porn but don’t know how best to do it. Nothing suggested so far is at all satisfactory. If it’s behind a paywall like SLR though, it shouldn’t be an issue as you need a credit card. Asking people for driver’s license and stuff is too much though especially as poorer people may not have those types of ID and it puts people’s privacy at risk if that data is hacked or compromised in any way.
This a complex issue, and one which if the industry does not sort out itself is going to be legislated for us. We actually already have the first mandatory age verification laws in place, Louisiana has passed a law authored by a politician who happened to be very close to the company who developed the LA Wallet digital driving license, to mandate verification using a government approved ID. Of which the only one so far is the LA Wallet digital driving license. This is obviously just a coincidence... So far the biggest tube site has complied, the next two biggest have not, and everyone else is just watching to see what happens. Texas politicians have introduced an almost identical bill which will be must more meaningful if passed, purely because of the size of the Texan market.
Over in the UK the Online Safety Bill trundles on trying to solve everything that is wrong with the internet, from cyberflashing to underage access to hardcore content. This law would also introduce mandatory age verification, but doesn't prescribe a specific method.
France and Germany are both taking varying actions against tube sites which don't age verify, and Spain has levied fines against smaller operators. So there is a lot going on around the world, and no real agreement on what should be done.
There are some cool technologies like age estimation. Some mobile operators are using this process to remove adult filters on sim cards. It takes a few seconds, involves taking a selfie, and no details are stored. But right now the cost per check is still around 20-30 US cents. Those costs mount up quickly!
The laws being mooted don't differentiate between paywalled content and otherwise though. We are monitoring the situation globally. Privacy and security for our customers are not incompatible with keeping adult content away from minors. We will argue against bad laws and continue doing things the right way.
I think the Online safety bill in the U.K. has been watered down a lot since its inception. I’m not sure age verification is even a part of it anymore. What was being mooted here though was that your age would be verified by a company online but your details would not be stored and they wouldn’t know what site you were seeking it for. For example, the same company could be doing this for online gambling sites so when asked to verify you, they wouldn’t know it was for porn.
The other option was that you would go into a store and buy an anonymous age verification card. It would cost something like £5.00 and the person behind the counter would verify that you were over 18 before selling you the card like they would if selling you alcohol. This card would have an anonymous code you would enter online and this would prove to the site that you were of age. In that case it’s all pretty anonymous except you actually have to go into a store and announce to the guy behind the counter that that you’re a big perv!
Actually it’s been watered back up again and age verification is back on the agenda. Seems like they will be enforcing the removal of illegal content first though so it will probably be years before they go after anyone for age verification. I think they’ve also said that a credit card payment is sufficient as age verification so paid sites like this should be fine.
Xvideos red loses payment processing.
Surprised it took them that long.

Good start for a different payment industry for porn. Fuck American theocracy.
petermc "illegal"
What the fuck is happening.
thatoculusdude I mean actual illegal stuff like underage porn, stuff inciting terrorism, actual harmful stuff. The internet safety bill isn’t just about porn.
It will probably be a little bit before they start going after legit porn sites who just haven’t put age verification in place.

LordCrash We had this talk before and it does not seem like you care to look into the actual laws. While there is a lot of fear mongering, we're actually living in one of the most sexually liberal eras ever. Of course, if you do not agree and really think current payment solutions for adult is broken beyond repair, perhaps instead of posting here, you may wish to raise some venture funding and create your own global processing network?

I have no idea what you're talking about. I said nothing about laws. If you mean the term "theocracy" I apply that to Amercian society and not only the government. Society forms the government, not the other way round.

I'm not making money in this industry and I don't work in this industry, I'm only a customer giving feedback. Either take it or leave it but don't act like the customers were responsible for problems at the company or that the customers should fix things the company is there to fix, that's pathetic and completely unprofessional.

Since I have lived in america my whole life then I think I can talk about it's history and society today and not keep pointing out all of the great thinks germany's society has done.
America has a long history since the beginning with Europeans that were persecuted for the religion getting on a boat coming over here. Because of that we still have lingering religion everywhere. More in the countryside than in the city's I'm an atheist and hate it. If you would like to come over here and tell all these religious people they are wrong and to stop believing it, that would be great. I have been trying my whole life.
The problem is even if you don't believe it, America is still pretty free. So all the religious people get just as much say as everybody else. They are organized and loud even if they are not a majority. So if you are a credit card company and 40% of people scream at you to stop something. Then you do it rather you want to or not. The other 60% don't scream for porn rights.
I hate religion but blaming america for all the problems sounds a little jealous. Why doesn't Germany or France or some other country make the biggest credit card companies in the world. Then us Americans can blame you guys for something we don't like for a change. I'm sure your society is perfect and has it all figured out.

Good question. There should definitely be a European credit card company.

I don't know what you mean by "all the problems". We only talk about one specific problem here.

Haha, far from it...
I'm trying to post a pic. Please tell me this isn't what I think it is:
