DeoVR Keeps Putting Oculus Go To Sleep???

Hey all,

So I've read that SLR is no longer "officially" supporting the Oculus Go... However, the DeoVR app allows me to access their website and use it completely normally, except for one problem: The app keeps forcing the Oculus Go into some kind of sleep mode??? I can keep the headset awake by constantly mashing the volume buttons, but absolutely no inputs from my controller or head movements will keep it awake!

I've seen reviews for the DeoVR app on the Oculus Go App Store, from people saying in "needs an update, so maybe that's the only problem? If so, could anybody recommend an Oculus Go compatible DeoVR alternative? I've been searching but can't seem to find anything that's available for Go.

doublevr Look I get there's better devices out there, but the Go LITERALLY WORKS FINE if I just continuously mash the volume button to keep it awake! It's not a hardware problem, it's a software bug that should be perfectly fixable! Unless the primary goal is just to arbitrarily give otherwise-functional Go users the boot???

I just paid for a subscription to this site because Oculus Go is still listed on the SLR App compatibility list; telling me to drop an extra couple hundred dollars on a better headset isn't an acceptable solution.

I have a Go, and I've don't think I've ever had the problem you describe. I have had the sound vanish, but when that happens it's that way no matter what app or file I use; I just restart the Go and the sound comes back to normal, indicating a bug in the Go.

In case you haven't tried it yet, I suggest you delete DeoVR from the headset and reinstall it.

I agree about seeing no reason to upgrade yet, particularly when Apple's VR is supposed to be out within a year.
