avengerbob In DeoVR on the Oculus Go, when you click on "Start Private Chat" it doesn't really start. Instead, a box pops up with the price of the chat per minute, and the number of minutes minimum. Then you have to click again to actually request the chat to start, or cancel or click away to remove the box. The prices vary from 0 tokens per minute up to around 25 tokens per minute; the time minimum usually varies between 1 to 10 minutes. So when considering a private chat, you need to mentally figure out what the total cost will be. Keep your eye on an external clock and quit the chat before the minimum time is up if you want to avoid being charged for extra time beyond the minimum. Sometimes the models will later change their price/minimum (not while private is in progress), depending on how well they are doing in the public chat area. So if a model's private price is too expensive, you can check the price again later. And some models in private will still want additional tips for some items on their menus. In my experience, the models will look at the VR camera while in private chat.
I have tried private chats a half-dozen times and have always been disappointed. Typing within the headset is too awkward and stressful (if I am paying for a private chat I want to be looking at the model, not the keyboard). The models rarely get close enough to the camera. If they do get close to the camera for kisses, the kisses are usually TOO close so it feels like your skulls are intersecting. Even if the models have been displaying a lot of personality in their public chat, when going private they have a tendency to shift into generic sultry sex-kitten mode, which is not what I want. Obviously some viewers are pleased with the private chat performances, particularly if what they want is just the same as would be found in non-VR chats.
So I suggest you find a model who has a low minimum cost, and give it a try to see if it works for you.
