I have no idea where to post this. But I am looking at possibly starting my own small business to make some extra money. I've been a professional photographer for over 10 years. I've shot images for lingerie websites, bikini lines, fashion shows and everything in-between. But anymore magazines and clothing lines don't want to pay, because everyone does it for free! So I want to branch out and do something different. I have multiple cameras, lens, lights, VR cameras and editing software. I just need to figure out all the legal stuff, then start booking models.
Which brings me to my post. If there is any studios/producers on here that would like to point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated. Because I do have some questions. Like I mainly want to shoot solo. Masturbation, stripteases, and some fetish stuff. At least until I get a firm grasp on the industry. What is the industry standard for paying models for this type of content? What is a good agencies to use to book models. Or where is a good place to find them? And what is the best type of lawyer to talk to? I assume a business lawyer would be the best bet. But are there lawyers who specialize in the porn industry? I understand the basics with IDs and model releases, property releases etc etc. But I'm sure there are a ton of codes and laws in place I gotta learn about.
Also, if there is a more detailed FAQ about how exactly the SLR partnership works. I'd love to read it. Like something a little more detailed about how the pay system works. I'm assuming you guys need copies of all releases, photo copies of IDS etc. So something more detailed would be a good read
