PeterGriffin456 For now, you need to have a separate Android phone to run the SLR Interactive app. This might change in the future.
Fleshlight launch
Thanks for the effort supporting the Launch. However, I can't put adult content related stuff on my phone. Will have to wait then. cu
Did anyone actually try it yet? How well does it work?
It's pretty freaking amazing if you ask me.
But so far I can only find two scenes in premium.
When will more scenes be added that use this function?
My understanding is that users can actually write scripts for individual videos that already exist, but I have no idea how to write these kinds of scripts or where to get them.
Any more information?
More scenes are coming soon.
For creating scripts you can try checking https://realtouchscripts.com/ or just googling how to create funscripts for the launch.
Ok..so ifi am using a gear var I have to use a second phone to control the device but watch the very on another? A better explination would be nice if at all possible. I have no current plans to buy a new vr device so the ability to continue using my gear is important
K_shadowfall To run the SLR Interactive app, it needs to be on a separate Android phone.
So, yes, for now to use it with Gear VR, you would need two phones. This is due to tech limitations, and might change at some point in the future.
SamSuppVR ok well the problem now seems to be when I log in I l am stil getting a x on the interactive app.
K_shadowfall You have two phones for this? One running the SLR app and one running SLR Interactive?
Did you connect the device (turn on the Fleshlight Launch, with the blinking blue LED light on, and then press the “Scan new” button in SLR interactive)?
You also must have Bluetooth and WiFi enabled on your Android device, and you must grant the application all the necessary permissions. Both phones should be on the same Wifi.
Your instructions above say that to play videos and scripts locally:
These videos are:
Local videos which have a Fleshlight script with the same name as video but with the .fleshlight extension (video and funscript must be in the same folder).<<<
funscripts don't have a .fleshlight extension. Do you just rename them?
Also, even figuring out how to even play a funscript, let alone make one, is extremely complex. I've spent a couple of hours and still don't even have a clue.
Has anyone made this work with local files on an Oculus Rift and the app on an Android? I've gotten the SLR streaming files to work. There just aren't that many and the ones that do exist aren't really the kind I like.
mebejoe I think this was a typo, the correct extension should be ".funscript". To play locally, you would just have to have the script and file in the same folder with the same name, and run in the SLR app. Should work.
More streaming files with interactive support are coming soon, but we don't have an exact timeline at the moment.
For actually creating scripts, there does seem to be a learning curve and it does seem pretty complex. The Realtouchscripts site is probably the best place to start if you're interested in the subject. The main site has a tutorial and the community is quite active.
OK...Here is my question. Am i required to have premium for the connection to work. When i start the SLR interactive on either phone and log in I get a red X ...no connection. So my initial problem is neither phone will “connect” to slr
Ok both phones are on the same network. As a matter of fact I turned off cell to make sure.
I’ve logged into slr app and turned on connect to interactive
I’ve logged in slr interactive on both devices and there is a red x next to slr connection.
My slr interactive connects to my launch. On both or either device
Guys, I’m working with you here but this really needs a set of concise instructions.
I have not purchased a file as I have local files I want to see how it works with first.
First, I can make this work on my PC with both streaming files and locals using my Oculus Rift and one android phone. It works, but the movements are not perfect accurate, honestly.
I think the green button next to SLR connection won't show up until you are signed into the SLR app and the SLR website on the phone you are using for viewing and you put on your headset. Not sure.
That said, to me the prime potential advantage of the SLR app is that it works through your PC and an attached Oculus Rift which seems to have a much better viewing experience. In my opinion, if you are using your phone for viewing, you are much better off with using the feel connect app and downloading files from Wankvr and some of the other sites that work with the feel connect app. You need only one phone and the motions are much more accurate.
I much prefer the Rift for being more immersive.
I am sure that SLR will work out the bugs eventually.
Did you see the instructions here?

The new version of SLR Interactive is available!
Major internal changes for improved performance across all possible device setups.
Overal funscript streaming improved and is now more precise
Description:
We found out that slower devices suffer more from script lag due to worse framerate. Now all the calculations from SLRapp have been moved to SLR Interactive, which makes overall performance roughly the same for all setups.
Plans for next iteration:
- Smoother fast movements (when the funscript commands are too fast),
- “Hello” strokes on device connect,
- Some UI changes
So why do we need the phone app? Why not connect directly via Quest bluetooth?
PeterGriffin456 Tech limitations, easier to connect this way. Maybe this will change at some point in the future.
