Quest 2 - 120fps in DeoVR app not working correctly?

Hello,

Recently bought a subscription again after discovering 120fps versions of SLR originals have been made available.

Downloaded a 120fps scene. Transferred it to the local storage of my Quest 2.
Enabled the 120 fps option in the experimental section of the Quest 2
Loaded up DeoVR, checked the box icon on the bottom right corner that says "120" fps.

Upon comparing the 60 fps and 120 fps versions, I couldn't notice any difference. What was strange to me was that when playing the 120 fps video using the steps listed above, the fps counter at the bottom right corner of the DeoVR app hovers at around 88-89 fps. In fact, even when playing the 60fps version displayed fps counts of 88-89 fps. How could that be?

Am I missing something here? Is DeoVR incorrectly displaying the FPS count at the bottom right corner?

Can you double check you are running v9.3 of the app? It didn't auto-update for me either.
Can you try a streaming 120fps video?

Rakly3 I double-checked and I am running version 9.3.

I gave the wrong impression in my earlier reply.

I didn't download a vid. I tried streaming a 120 fps vid. I made sure I changed the vid to 120 fps and selected 120 in Deo as well.

I switched to 60 fps in the video and Deo and then back to 120 fps.

I didn't see a noticable difference. The counter does switch from 60 to 120.

Am I just not able to notice? Is it a minute change? I can easily see the difference between 30 fps to 60 fps.

You don't notice less flickering as you go up in framerate? Also make sure to close the UI after switching the fps.

Does DeoVR successfully play 120fps videos from the local storage on the Quest 2? Or even via DLNA using Plex?

Is there any noticeable difference on Quest 2 between the 60 and 120 frame rate videos?

If not, then what's the point of SLR offering 60/90/120fps downloadable videos? What's the required hardware support for 120fps video playback?
