The best VR player

kobraking I think it comes from the fisheye. Its like the video all goes towards the center. Its "pointy" at the bottom.

Are you using an old version of the app? Or I guess more specifically which headset are you using?

The "pointy" comment makes me think your headset just isn't displaying the fisheye properly, since this is exactly what the 190 degree scenes will look like when they're not properly displayed. Basically like some sort of weird "black hole" effect that will be on the bottom of the video, sort of puling the rest of the video into it.

justsomedude101 not sure Skybox has a 190 degree fisheye option so the 8k stuff my not display perfectly on there. I’m not sure.

I discovered how to fix it and I'm embarrassed how easy it was. Open "stereo mode" option. Then at the top pick fisheye. It plays any fisheye perfectly.

kobraking Haha I miss simple things all the time, think everyone does. Just glad to hear you figured it out ️

My one and only wish for DEO app is that the speed control be made sticky, i.e. if I slow a vid down to 50%, the next video I open plays at that speed too. You could add a “keep speed” toggle switch for those that prefer all videos to start at full speed, i.e they would toggle this option on or off. Thanks!!

argyle43 Hey, this is actually bad implementation on our part, all settings that are in "Quick" tab should be copies from other tabs, where you will be able to set them as default, this will carry trough to new video.

I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else - I would LOVE to have some fine-grained +/- volume adjustment buttons in DeoVR.

It's really, really difficult to make fine adjustments to the volume when you're trying to move a slider with a virtual laser pointer, so having something that you can click to increase/decrease volume by a small amount would be great.

I'm usually playing with the volume pretty low since the Valve Index has off-ear speakers and I don't really want it broadcasting the soundtrack too far, so there's a fine line between "quiet enough" and "inaudible"

[deleted] Hello , I got a question can SLR app work as vr player just on pc without any headset ? Because I just downloaded it and then it turns on app shows only menu and I can't click anywhere ... If not you should make it possible , use app just with mouse I think it would bring more people to it ...

thing i like to see on SLR app

1. advance color setting with more options (herespare vr beat SLR app on this but the ui is a hot mess)
2. Real time video filters: like gain, background blur (most likely only PC VR set will work with this not sure about stand alone vr devices
3. options to change any video to setting on all videos when it come to changing side by side to flat or fish eye to flat long etc.. currently this can only be down on
4. better color and sharpness (heresphere vr has SLR app beats on this)
5. for flat non vr videos add option to curve the screen and a bar to control the curve.
6. i know it been mention but improve performance locally and streamed (heresphare does a better job running 6K and 8K videos with high bitrates )
7. Volume control on SLR app never seem work right 100% works fine and 0% but the in-between seems to be more so the same level.
8. A Volume booster some videos volume are is just to low
9. If you can find a way get more dept. of field via software between the actors and backgrounds.
10. A video loop option. A -B is nice but some time i just want to loop a PMV

I mostly use slr app most of the time.
