I was able to just do a manual adb install of this .apk (Sidequest -> run adb commands -> adb install <path-to-apk>) after removing the previous (broken) SLR app and now my Go is working again with this version of the SLR app. I guess this is the last release for the Go but at least I can function now.
Can anyone help when I use my Oculus go when watching videos the camera keeps moving down on its own it's happening all the time and very annoying, what can I do to fix this problem?
I only use the Oculus Go when my Quest 2 runs out of battery .

We can't support device that has been deprecated by the manufacturer. It's silly to blame us for things like that
doublevr I understand that you are constrained by Facebook and their stupid deprecation policies, but you can be better than Facebook to your SLR users by providing a method to users of older hardware (Oculus Go) to at least get to the last working version of the SLR app. You can say something like "this is how to install it, but this is the final release and no further updates will be provided."
Because of how quickly Facebook deprecated the Go, I am very, very hesitant to buy a Quest 2. Do I get maybe three years before they deprecate that and I am forced to buy a Quest 3? I won't play that game.
dog12398 The issue is that newer versions of our app also need updates to the Oculus OS to work. Without Facebook adding these updates, Our app won't work either. When you sideload v9 of SLR/DeoVR and try to run it, it even prompts you to update the Oculus Software.
We would have to compile our own Oculus Go OS with the support added and ask our users to jailbreak their devices, which in turn will stop it from working with anything else.

Maybe slr can hook it up so their videos stream on there as well for go users.
If you download gizmo vr (its in the oculus store)
In gizmo search for
Xhamster.com click the vr tag to the right
You can sample many trailers up to 6mins long, they have longer scenes too, now there's no 7k or 8k but its decent enough to sample vr studios to see what you like.

That's something you would have to ask the Gizmo devs. We can't change their software/API

If you use gizmo and search sexlikereal it takes you to the site, the videos play but in 2d, and from what i understand and was told gizmo released the API docs already.
So i think its up to slr if they want to "turn the switch on" so their videos play in vr mode in gizmo, but this would be helpful for GO users who can't use the slr or deo app anymore. This is why i was suggesting it.
But gizmo vr cool tho, you can go to xhamster.com and sample many vr studios up to 6mins long in vr mode.
Also xxx.real and virtualtaboo work in vr mode in side gizmo too.

It's the same file, we don't stream 2D versions of VR videos. They need to connect to our API, we don't connect to and control their app.
There's no such thing as "turn a switch on" and it works.

I know, i meant the vr video plays but not in vr mode.
So... I have 5 months remaining of a year long premium subscription and you guys yank support for my device without any warning? Can't you even make the previous version of the app available? Every time I opened the app recently it said a new version was available to install, so I did exactly that using the quest-installer app and now it no longer works. I get the same error as the others - the message says the device needs updating, but the device is up-to-date.

i solved this problem with my go and sucessfuly installed SLR app
1 - download the last version apk app file that work on go given by themib :

2 - download the vrsideloader app from the bottom of this page: https://headjack.io/tutorial/sideload-install-app-apk-oculus-go-quest/ (you have to enter your email to get the link but you can use a tempory email like https://temp-mail.org if you don't want to put your email)
3 - from occulus headset go to setting -> storage -> select unknown sources -> delete any existing slr app
4 - connect your headset to your comuter, run the vrsideloader app , drag and drop the new app you've downloaded at step 1
5 - enjoy !
ps: you should have developer mode and usb debuggin on , but if you where using the slr app already befor they broke it everything should already be setup and you could just follow my step)
