Can't enable 120 HZ on Oculus Quest 2

When using SLR App with airlink on Oculus quest 2 I get the option for 120 and 90 HZ but if I enable them the video goes black then it just reverts back to 60. How do I get it to run at a higher hz?

oculusinfernum It's possible Airlink only send max 60fps. The SLR app is running on your PC if I understand correctly?

oculusinfernum In the graphics preferences options, it is specified that not using the recommended settings may affect performance.
At high resolution, there is a good chance that the Quest 2 is not powerful enough to offer 90Hz with the Airlink (hence the black screen then the return to 60Hz).

With update V29 I thought that Oculus added 120 Hz to airlink. It should work even if it doesn't run that well. At least that's what I was led to believe.

I switched on the 120hz mode in my quest 2 experimental settings. I then tried to watch a few SLR vids in the DeoVr app in 120 fps mode and I didn't notice any difference when switching from 60 to 120 fps and back again.

Am I doing something wrong?

Airlink and 120 hz are both enabled on the Quest 2. 120 hz is supposed to be working over airlink now but it doesn't work for me. I think he meant that 120 hz over airlink is not fully rolled out yet and it will be coming soon.

oculusinfernum 120Hz on the PC app works, not on the Oculus Quest version.

Rakly3 Thanks Rakly for the heads up. Any plans to make it work on the DeoVR app for Quest 2 in a future update?

I just wanted to clarify what the status for each platform was 🙂
And yes, we are working on getting 90Hz and 120Hz on the Quest app too! The Quest might not be able to play all of the 120FPS files smoothly, but we'll see.
