SLR App with Reverb G2

Lots of stuttering when launching the app and even a few minutes afterward I have to wait for it to stop. Sometimes it'll crash. My machine has the horsepower needed: 5800x and 2070 RTX. Other very demanding VR apps work as expected. Has anyone else seen this problem?

Rich0 Can you open your Task Manager (assuming Windows) CTRL + SHIFT + ESC
before launching the app. Then check in Processes and Performance tabs if something is eating a unusual amount of resources?

Do you have a Igfx in your CPU? (in Performance tab you would then see 2 GPU's, GPU0 and GPU1)

Rich0 Mine did it bad and sometimes after 5 to 10 minutes it stopped. Strange games had no issue and playing Alyx was incredible along with the other 5 or 6 games I played where perfect. I never had any tracking issues either. Just the SLR app I think I did try another VR video app and it did the same thing DEO-VR. Edit : I have a RTX 3080 and now a 3080 Ti with a 5800x.

Hey there, I've had a lot of issues with stuttering with RTX2080 but for me, it's not just with the SLR app. I'm not very computer savvy but I did research and am pretty confident my desktop should be qualified to handle most things VR can throw at it, yet with my Reverb G2 I often have to close programs on my desktop to conserve memory while using the desvice. Restarting my computer and exiting Chrome and Edge Browsers make a big difference for me, even with 10th Gen Intel Core i9 10900KF. That being said, I have almost no issues with my Quest 2 connected to my PC via the cable. I don't even really see a difference in graphics either and am considering selling the Reverb G2 on eBay unless I can figure out a single reason it is better than my Quest 2. Sorry that probably didn't help you much though.

ogger151 Games and video players don't use the same hardware parts on your graphics card.

Zero issues with DeoVR from Steam on my G2

I have a RTX 2070 Super.

Rakly3 The strange thing was it didn't always do it. And if I play around with it I can get it to stop sometimes. I haven't tried in a long time as I returned the G2 and went back to my S. But will be purchasing another one soon. The games where incredible on the G2 and I miss it.
