  • SLR App on Quest 2 way too loud

The SLR app on Quest 2 plays SLR videos way too high a volume. With the built-in headstrap speakers, the lowest volume setting is sometimes painfully loud. With plain wired headphones, I never go above half volume, and that is very often too loud.

The volume range is too large across most videos. I have to adjust up and down throughout to hear everything without pain. I wish these videos had truvolume like TVs. Shouts probably don't need to be much louder than whispers.

therestherub Quest2 volume is somehow controlled independently through 2 sources. The physical HMD volume and the Home screen volume adjustor ( https://i.imgur.com/bPylEyr.jpg ). It is possible that you can get a 200% volume if you set both independent volume sources to the max. Try to reduce the home screen volume to 50% or lower and start using only the HMD volume to adjust the volume to the audio volume of your preference.

faizalski i just checked and the home screen volume, physical volume buttons, and slr app volume are all the same volume. all three move in unison.

Rakly3 yes all the volume controls control the same thing, during loud some scenes one tick above muted is too loud

therestherub Are you streaming, playing from storage on the Q2, DLNA?

Do you have this in other players?

Which straps are on your device, the originals? Can you try removing and reseating them?
