For flat videos can they support playing in the metabrowser, not via the vr controls? The new app kinda sucks for flat videos, no ability to open tabs, lag, and general playback stuff thats not great. Would be awesome to just use the quest browser as I do on a pc for Flat.

Is there any chance you can make the app window user definable regarding size (drag corners etc) as the current 3 rows or columns is very slow to navigate and then we have the option to zoom out and have more rows similar to the legacy app would be a nice feature also the scroll is a bit glitchy for me personally and there's too little info on screen and badly utilised space IMO

Vrsumo2017 not sure what you mean by drag the image. I just want to tilt it up and down is that what you mean or do you mean actually dragging the image freehand? When you say “both triggers” do you mean that I have to use two controllers? That would be terrible. Playa, legacy Deo, Heresphere and StartVR all let you control the pitch purely with the thumbstick on one controller. No trigger pressing, no dragging of the image, just tilting up and down. That’s all I want it to do, what the existing app already allows you to do. Why make the new one worse than the old one?

petermc on one controller the two trigger buttons, push them at the same time hold them down and you can move the video up or down, for now that's the only way. Till they add it on the cross button

I'm trying to get used to the new DeoVR app on Vision Pro but I can't find how to translate the image (pitch, yaw, etc.) with hand gestures. On Quest 3 it's so easy to reposition the video using the controller. I found the sliders for adjusting each axis one at a time, but that's in Settings -> Advanced Settings, which makes it many "clicks". It would be great if we could just grab the video dome and move it around. Is that possible?

There's a lot to like just need to get all the features rolled over to the new app from the old
With the legacy, it's easier to find things with tags or a combo of tags; this has been a bit limited in the new app
Also missing a lot of passthrough settings
I didn't see autofocus features

doublevr Im still more into the classic version. Easy to navigate and ajust sharpness and addapt to differend kind of VR movies

Since the announcement I've tried using Hyper more often, but it's definitely a chore. Nothing about it is user friendly at the moment and having to click through multiple option trees just to get to something that's easily accessible on the legacy app definitely doesn't feel like an upgrade.

An upgrade should keep everything that's currently good and then improve or add to those features. SLR and Deo don't seem to share this design philosophy and seem to instead present something that's objectively worse and then slowly or never add in the features that made previous iterations superior.

Something I don’t see mentioned here that’s SUPER important is being able to adjust horizontal/vertical offset for videos, especially horizontal. Some videos are literally unwatchable without adjusting this (see: most deepinsex videos, which almost all require decreasing horizontal offset to stop the girl from looking humongous. Lacey Jayne’s SLRO video also has this problem, requiring different offsets for the laying scenes and the doggy scene), and I don’t see a setting for this in the new app.

Have really tried to use, and like the new app.. but at the end of the day want to say what a tremendous downgrade in almost everyway from a usability perspective . Even from a video play back is frustrating. All and all sucks to see devo og die, and makes me wish the site would work with heresphere so I dont have to navigate with the new deovr anymore.

The new app is clearly much faster and smoother, but there is nothing ‘new’ and existing features are still missing, release has been at least a year ago I think so this is kind of baffling

It’d be great if the menu works during a scene, let us navigate the app (or currently, website) while watching a scene, allow the menu to be transparent with a slider, just like Heresphere. An immense QoL feature that I kind of expected. Especially with the menus now it’d be very beneficial.

nannyskexis I'm doubtful that they will. Anytime I see OSR, SR6, tempast in general mentioned it the response seems to be dismissive. They don't seem to want people using the most advanced haptic toys.

Just a plus +1 to everyone saying the same thing. Inability to bind some of the transform options, like pitch etc, and edging mode to controllers kinda make it feel like a backward step despite other improvements made. Seems like there's still changes happening but for now, I always end up going back to classic Deo.

May as well mention i find the zoom really jumpy and way too fast on both versions. Streaming on Q3 for reference.

What is the future for the Steam Index? Will it ever work on Hyper, or will it stay on legacy steam app DeoVR?
