Will there be support for other sites in hyper? Would be a huge QoL improvemnt.

Heresphere and even the old Deovr app would allow you to browse other sites and when clicking the direct download link it would play the video in the full vr player. You can even go into SLR on Heresphere browser and press download on the studio master and stream the master if you have a good enough connection. Seems pretty off when some other app is able to play the best qualitiy version of the videos when the official app cannot. Currently in Hyper pressing the download link will do nothing and steaming a video via the browser will just play it within the browser window which is pretty useless.

Part of the connvenience of Heresphere is I can have a bunch of different sites and they just work.

Ill be honest not digging the new app. I think it has broke discovery of content. Little things like the pages require scrolling on feels very sluggish. As far as I can tell no comment section, can no longer see actresses that are involved in the video to go to their profile. All and all seems like a downgrade.

The biggest issue for me is the weird weight, of the vr control pointer I frankly hate. No other app delays the input the way the new app does. It feels like I am using the controller in a vat of molasses. @doublevr

jay22111 you can find actresses in info panel, you can follow them and open all their videos.
Comments are coming soon, they are currently being worked on.

Kieshi When your in the scene you can some how see the actress? I guess I am not following as I dont see that.

Thought of another thing, is there a way to lock the media controls so that when they open they dont go exactly where your looking? I opened the sub menus and such and didnt see that option .

jay22111 you can open Info panel via "I" icon next to video title and there you will see studio and models

jay22111 In Advanced settings you should see option "Automatic UI re-entering", if you toggle it off - Ui will stay in one place.

Kieshi Would be cool if the lock icon could be added back, it was a lot easier to navigate with that way. Thanks for the setups though !

Silly-Sausage Edit: Just to add i decided to check out Chaturbate and Stripchat that i haven't used for years as i now had access to VR and it was increcidibly noticeable how much the so called amateur talent is so much ahead of the so called professionals these days.

Chaturbate is a relic of a website! Horrendous interface that hasn't changed in what, 15+ years? 🤮

Stripchat on the other hand is very modern and works pretty great, especially the VR site. They are constantly updating it and only release features when they are ready COUGH COUGH 😄

A new VR browsing interface released a few weeks ago (has a couple bugs to fix, but most importantly - is NOT missing basic features)
Within the past week or so they have added an automatic adjuster for video colours etc, and also added a white balance slider (this has highlighted how many models have not setup their cams properly, they are all yellow/orange!). The auto adjuster is hit and miss, needs a bit more training data but it's pretty impressive overall

But anyway back on topic: I think SLR's issue is they are releasing things too early, way too early in some cases. It needs more time to cook although I don't think bugs are a problem. It's more that things are released before they have basic features - See the new website interface and now the new app

It leaves the users in an awkward position, do we use the newly released thing that is missing basic things? Or do we stay on the old one that gets no maintenance and is now missing new features?

We were all forced to use the new interface in such a short time which caused lots of issues - the main one for me is there is no notifications for new studios/models I follow (there is a follow tab now, but no (2) notification icons). We finally got a way to block studios!

I have a feeling us Pico 4 users will be prematurely cut off from the old app, either because it gets blocked or because bugs develop that aren't prioritised

I really don't feel like spending £400 on a new headset solely for SLR and that will have a similar screen to what I already have 😥

It does make sense, it just sucks that Pico 4 are going to stop working with SLR much earlier than necessary (hardware not being the limitation)

Pico is for sure partly to blame due to not updating firmware

No PCVR support is a big bummer. My standard setup is to run Steam DeoVR through Virtual Desktop so I can also play local videos off my PC storage.

The reasons given make perfect sense to upgrade the player, but just tried the new one and almost feels like demo mode. Picture looked good but that was about it, not sure how there was no horizontal offset from the get-go which to me seems like a must have as pretty much every vid I come across needs to be tweaked a little so people don’t appear as elves or giants, especially noticeable in AI passthrough, and no coax distance and other features that contribute to the quality of a video, and also the extra steps to get to pitch, yaw etc is kind of a pain and much harder to do on the fly then Deo classic. Potential is there but would be nice if the interface and controls resemble the classic version as much as possible and missing key features be added before there is even any thought of ditching classic.

I downloaded the new app weeks ago but, until I am able to control the pitch using the thumbstick, it is completely unusable for me so I have to continue with the legacy app. Why would you make the new app without absolutely basic features like being able to control the camera? As long as this is fixed before you close the old app, it will be fine.

petermc you gotta hold both triggers to drag image. This method causes my remote to get dirtier because of lube, but it works 👍

I've used it, it works great for my usage, but only reason I still use old deo is because the new app has no comment section.

Other then that, it worked great, it got the job done 👍
