Why deprecate the legacy app in the new year when it is feature packed and far superior in most ways and obvious to anyone with a bit of nous that the new app is missing too many features that won't be implemented in this time frame ?
Apart from the basics that most users have mentioned, will Chromakey Passthrough make a return, alot of scenes require this feature, also will Ai Passthrough have the same features as the legacy app with high quality blending etc or just the current hard edged quality, i did mention a feathering option similar to Photoshop as an option but i guess that isn't happening, also what's going on with the 'Sharpness' feature, it's more like an 'Image Gain' rather than a sharpening tool - Just my opinion.
I honestly don't think you will get the new app up to the standard of the legacy app within 18 months, 4 months is a joke, you need to run them in parallel with each other until the majority of features are included - but what do i know
Also slow motion / video speed - Serious question, does the developer of this app actually watch VR Porn it's obvious to me that with the lack of pitch having a preset key binding that no they don't - Also not having an option to lock rotation etc, it's not even half baked at best, and i'm not even mentioning the real basics
Even Playa that was pure dogshit is better than this - too be fair they've come good, but similiarly it takes time to implement. It's like you don't learn any lessons from previous mistakes and jump head first into a pile of poor user feedback.
I honestly find it quite bizarre - but you do you just like Sony and see how it works out 🙂
Also as far as i can tell Ai Passthrough a feature that i have lauded as being one of the best technical features in VR since inception is going to become unavailable to me in the legacy app with all of it's superior options and i will be forced to use the basic features (or lack) of the new app - Do you have a conference room to mull over the details of these change or just yes men that couldn't care as long as they get paid that they make on a whim after and few whiskies and cigar ?
Too be honest i feel sorry for the developer, they are gonna face so much pressure in the new year and it's unfair on them as they are gonna be the fall guy, not the obvious culprit
