More, more even and not red. It's much easier to adjust to the room IMO. Is it something that can be improved?

player? To the left is SLR videos and to the right is from another site, arporn. Sorry should have named the images.
What I mean is the actual lighting of the room 🙂

If you meant software player I mostly use heresphere but these are screenshots on the computer.

Hi, thank you for your post.

The main reason our background appears darker is to eliminate unwanted bright edges in Passthrough mode. Here is a screenshot of the original untouched footage so you can see how bright it is by default. (Screenshot #1)

Also, looking at the comparisons you shared, most of the examples on the right seem to lack proper contrast and color and look a bit flat overall.

That said, you can always adjust the colors to your preference using our app. Just open the video settings menu while watching the video. (Screenshot #2)

soempen For a long time I feel the same, for me always there is something off, like color or brightness or always blurry in the scenes from SLR, and ARPorn wins for me in new scenes, for example, when compare same model Octavia Red in scenes from both sites.

For me, the color and brightness on SLR scene are off when watching on PT and SLR scene is like "blurry", ARPorn fells more real on PT.
SLR always had the best quality on real PT, old scenes like with Lexi Luna ou Jennifer Mendez for me was the GOAT of real PT quality, but something changed after that time.

Agree that arporn just looks better in everyway. Slr can look kinna washed out or colors not as good, and the detail you get isnt as good. I love slr and often does better in positions variety department, but not the camera department which but sorry to say arporn has always looked better and more real. No idea if you get much better detail because they dont cap the bitrate like slr(their vids are 20gb plus where often slro pt vids 8kmax are under 10gb), if they have better colors because of better post processing or lighting like op said, or if its because they just have a better camera

Ok so the level is being brought down in post processing? I can agree that there's more contrast in SLR, but usually my room isn't dark in parts where the model is dark. SLR is darker overall and if i try to increase the light the brightest parts become super bright 🙂 I don't think arporn is flat looking in the headset, just more even from top to bottom.

While the light I guess is more of a personal preference, what annoys me is the red tint that I struggle to adjust properly and it just looks sick instead. From the comparison I think it's well visible or does it have to do with color profiles?

I don't have any problems with blur, for me SLR videos are the best in resolution 😮

Well I must admit I haven't downloaded anything on ARporn since a year, the last time I just NEEDED to get a month subscription was Armani Black, I feel none of the models after that have been worth buying but that's of course personal preference (although I ALMOST fell for Raissa Bellini LOL). So maybe the quality has improved over the course of the last year, my comment is based on the quality prior to last year. But I was never much impressed with ARporn's quality. Lighting is of course personal, but people here above are talking about 'better in any way'. When I read comments like this I was kinda surprised, since for me it's the opposite, SLR's AR porn is better in every way. But then I thought hmm mayhbe those people are streaming. Because then I could understand, since SLR's streaming quality is just bad! That's why I alway download the HBR files and I downloaded from AR porn too (If I remember correctly I ripped it from the site since I THINK AR porn removed the download button like vrbangers did?). Either way, when downloaded HBR, the SLR quality is just miles ahead. Too bad SLR offers such low bitrate streaming ...

Yea it's become alot better since like 6 months back, I mean in video quality. It's not blurry when at a distance like before. And it looks like they have added more light with panels on the sides and top. I think it has been good improvements, so thats why I made the comparison..

Is it possibly a headset thing? I use Quest 3 and find ARPorn to be more realistic across the board vs SLR PT. No matter how much I mess with the sliders I can’t get the colors right. Perhaps on better headsets SLR is better?

To be fair there are some incredible PT scenes on SLR but when I compare let’s say Blake Blossom’s or as mentioned Octavia Red’s scenes, ARporn wins out. When I mention SLR I’m including VRSpy as well.

A thread that will probably break everything that worked so well and makes SLR Passthrough superior.

Yes the colour is overly red but this is probably down to player used, which i can't be bothered to explain.

The only thing that needs attention currently is the bitrate, which is probably automatically low due to the mask which exlcudes partial areas - Just a guess

Probably needs a different setting from non-passthrough to increase the bitrate. - A bit more care and attention and maybe listen to feedback from users on the actual scene

VRSpy > SLR >>>>ARPorn lighting and it's not even close. Lighting is the one thing SLR/VRspy 100% has over all the other companies.

Bitrate would be lower than non pt because there is mostly gray in the picture that needs like 1 bit but the girl is the same?

Well if it's how SLR wants it and doesn't agree just carry on like before 🙂 I just wanted to point out the difference.

harigeharry in my eyes it's not even close. I hate them as a company but in terms of visual quality ARPorn and VRBangers are like... Two tiers above current SLR quality.

It sucks because I would say SLR is the site I'm "rooting for" the most but their visuals have been in a rut for a while now. And each time it's brought up they just say play with the settings instead

Kolaches That's odd, that's really extremely different than my experience. Are you streaming or downloading?Because if you're streaming I can understand, like said, SLR streams with quite low bitrate. You need to download the HBR files.

That being said, Vrbangers had pretty good quality but IMHO it's not close to SLR originals HBR. Ah we ARE talking about SLR originals, right? Cause otherwise I can understand of course, enough mediocre other studios on here.

I would have to agree, arporn seem to have better quality and the the passthrough cut out is way more crisp compare to slr. The only thing arporn is horrible at is the scaling, all of the models look like straight giant to me. slr passthrough, for some reason, some of the videos, the color is too red for me.

harigeharry yeah just comparing SLR originals so that it's fair, otherwise it all goes out the window if we start including all the random studios. I am streaming so maybe that does play a part but SLR has issues nailing down the color and saturation for me too. They either turn too red or too washed out/white. VRBangers has somehow nailed ultra realism in that department

Kolaches ah yeah if streaming I can totally understand. And we also might be even talking about different things, I am not talking about colors, imho that's quite personal. I'm talking about seeing small details, call it 'crispness'. That's better on the HBR files if you download. Really too bad that SLR streams in such lousy quality. I remember ARporn was streaming at full quality, hence the preference for Arporn among some people here in this thread. SLR streams at way lower bitrate than the HBR files have. So if you want good quality on SLR, you really need to download.
