Maybe I can help. I have been using this new BYOJ for more than week now. First and short impression is that it is way too complicated compared to "old and deprecated" version and there is lots to improve. I will give longer and detailed impression later.
I have now created handful of new BYOJ videos. I also struggled to combine different videos. Tutorial is pretty much useless, you just have trial and error method. It is painful because this BYOJ logic is think about jumps/transitions instead of scenes and their starting and ending times like it was in previous BYOJ.
Some things are really silly named. Like jump timing and target time. Could mean anything. For the first week I always confused these. Maybe should rename these more suitable like: jump start (video end time) and destination target time (new video start time).
My problem was that jump start (timing) was not inside the trimmed video. That is why jump never triggered. Let's say you have 3 videos. You just have to check you have 3 sources. Trim them all so they start where you want them to start (this is important), end is not that important cos you can adjust it with jump to parameters.
Choose entry scene and start building from here. Insert jump and remember to change go to scene when jumping to new video instead of jumping inside same scene. When you think about logic this should work as long as jump parameters are inside trimmed video.
I hope these notes help you. If you still struggle with broken video, you can download JSON text file and analyse that with AI. It will give you proper solution. Mine problem worked that way.
