"Something went wrong, please, try again later" when trying to download.

For the sake of this reply I'm going to assume that the goal of this new system isn't to obstruct downloading.

A better and more transparent way to implement this is to place it in-between this one and the old one: Five new download slots each day up to a max of 35. (Or 15, if they want us to visit often.)

Download slots I used last Thursday will become available again this Thursday. Together with the 35 slots it's an improvement over what we had over the past couple of weeks, and it agrees intuitively with "the per rolling 7-day window" and that's good.
The "new downloads available on" dialog remains obscure and annoying. How many? What about the days after that?

Still boggles my mind that they have download limits yet they always claim that "Less than 1% of users" actually download more than 1 video. If that is the case then why even have any download limits? The math is not mathin here...

metichemsi Download limits are needed otherwise people will rip the entire library and share them on torrent sites/closed groups which is bad business

But lowering the current limits is bollocks as they are not very high considering how much new content is added daily

jommy if that was the case there are much more effective detection methods to find some random user like some of us who do like to keep all their favorite scenes locally vs someone who is obviously downloading every single scene on their site. It's been a little while since I signed up again but if they reduced the limits even more then I doubt I'll keep coming back, it was already bad enough as it was. It's a good thing there are plenty of other sites out there now.
