DEOVR hard freeze

What the title says. More often then anything these days when I go into deovr it hard freezes multiple times. Anyone else having the same issue or am I just using this wrong? Thanks in advanced. Quest 2

I did check for an update yesterday and its update. I thought there use to be a clear cache section but I did not see it. Most of the time it’ll just spin and say “subtitles can’t load” message. Then hard freeze. Again not sure if it’s just me or everyone else has the same issue?

No issue here with the Quest3 and DeoVR and freezing.

Only issue here is that previews don't always work, but get stuck on loading. In most cases it works to back out and click again, but specifically for SLR Originals the preview usually doesn't work here. (vid after release does)

Funseeker702 Please reinstall the application and check the issue. If it will occur again, please let us know the exact version of the application installed on your device. Also, check if the issue happens when you connect to the Internet using a different network, for example a mobile hotspot

Marduin Could you please confirm whether closing the page and reopening it makes the preview work? Or is it still not playing correctly? Please send a screenshot or a short video of the issue, if possible

I´m facing the same issues on a Quest 3, since maybe a week or so.
Streaming has become impossible.

I have a 1 Gbit/s connection.
Speedtest on desktop via ethernet shows consistent 1,13 Gbit/s download and on Quest 3 over Wifi 6 around 300 Mbit/s.

Tried checking if the issue occurs on desktop DeoVR via Airlink, but H265 videos aren´t playing at all. Just an eternal loading wheel.

Playing videos in the browser is very fast, no buffering. So it shouldn´t be related to network issues, like providers throtteling speed to certain CDNs.

pi314159 I have the same issue, i can't watch vids on 4096 resolution on my Quest 3 in DeoVR (Hyper app has the same issue) without constant stuttering, if i switch to 3048 the video plays fine.

So that was my initial step was to uninstall it and reinstall and still the same issue. I just checked and right now DEOvr is on version 15.6.3755 Quest 3 is up to date as well. The internet I'm using has been the same high speed one I've been using since my quest 2. It's a 1TB speed since I also game. Thanks in advanced.

Also lately been have streaming stuttering issues sometimes, on high speed fiber. Some videos play fine some stutter every few 10 seconds or so. Boner killer

Also, if some of videos play normally but you're having problems with others, please send us links or the titles of the videos as examples

Previously all videos were freezing, now I tested it again and it seems like most are working fine.

For instance this one is fine:

DeoVR Speedtest shows 69,2 Mbit/s and 35,4 Mbit/s parallel to Falkenstein-2 and 59,7/31,9 to Falkenstein-12.
It also returns error 403 when submitting test results. Don´t know it that´s relevant.
Significantly less than browser speedtests with 831 Mbit/s and 438 Mbit/s, depending on the room.

@AshSLR Since I have you here, I just bought the Kiroo Keon and reading through the instrucitons on the website it says to just start up DEOvr (hyper now i guess?) and have it on auto detect to connect directly to the keon, is that still how it is?

I'm asking because when I had my launch I used to have to use the haptics connect app to connect my launch, sync it to the player for it to work. Thanks in advanced for everything so far.

@Funseeker702 @pi314159 The issue seems to occur only for 90 FPS scenes. Quest 3 can decode up to 8K@60 FPS. Thus, the 90 FPS videos freeze and can't be played.

AlexSLR thank you getting back. What about the subtitles not able to load prompt? I’ve noticed that when that happens it freezes not only the app but my whole headset.

I wrote a long post on this earlier before i saw this. Been a member of SLR for about 6 or 7 years, zero issues then about 2.5 months ago all scenes started to stutter / buffer after about 5 - 10 mins of using the DeoVR app. Closing the app and restarting the headset usually makes it work again for a couple of mins then it all starts again.

I honestly thought this was my my end as i recently switched broadband provider but now im seeing other people report the same issue im thinking the problem may not actually be on my side after all
