Colors and clarity were really good! The skin textures were very clear. Could see pores, wrinkles, everything. Very great for realism.

It could just be in my head though, but I felt like it seemed slightly "zoomed out" or like there was some very minor distortion of pulling back the "center position" a few clicks. Was there any kind of scale correction in post? It reminded me a bit of when the Canon was first debuted, the scale was a bit on the large side, so one way to correct was to change the the Camera Stereo Alignment of the right or left eye (in Heresphere) to make it a bit smaller (which it turn changes the depth a bit). That's what it kind of felt like as far as depth/scale.

Meh - It looks alright but nothing special, as above distance is too far away - For me the best part is Angels phat pussy - Surely that is a pussy pump pre-scene, i could eat that for hours... i love phat pussy lips

g2kbuffetboy We will polish the workflow with this camera to avoid scaling and other stereo related issues in future. It's might be a bit different because of the resolution difference between Canon and RED.

I get where you’re coming from, and it's frustrating to have a fantastic scene or performer being "wasted" on technical problems ruining the end product.

At the same time, when new tech does land well, it can make a huge difference. I’m already looking forward to eventually upgrading from my Pico 4 to a better headset and revisiting scenes with improved hardware.
Some of my all-time favourite SLR scenes still hold up really well, but you can definitely see the jump in quality from 2900p to the newer 8K scenes. If this helps future-proof scenes, then I’m all for it.

I know my mind isn't what it used to be, but haven't we had 8k for approx 3 or so years (2900p is 6k) - I'm personally on a Q3 8k and aware of advanced technology but not sure of your point here = maybe i'm still drunk or hallucinating

Indeed you are right!! But roughly 2 years ago, we still had major releases in 6k only, e.g. one of my all-time favourite scenes: (Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Cock. I recently rewatched it and really noticed the difference in clarity.

And then you have scenes like these ones Nepo Hoes in 8K, but the difference in clarity between recent 8K releases and the early ones are night and day.

Personally, I love SLR's aim for better, cutting-edge tech, but would hope/wish for better quality control:
E.g. when using a new camera, they should first and foremost shoot more test footage (not even porn, just simple test footage in similar settings) to nail the focus/post production pipeline and only then using it for actual shots with paid actors.

(not that our little exchange here matters or will make a difference haha)

But the real test is an actual scene, you cannot simulate it

Not at all, it's super important to start recording in the highest available quality as soon as it's available

Cos once it's recorded, that's it. You cannot magically make it into 8K or 12K or whatever, upscaling only does so much

Just look at JAV, so much of that is recorded in 4K VR crap quality. Absolute waste of talent, time and money when it could have been recorded in 6K or 8K

It's like YouTubers releasing videos in 1080p, gross 🤨

I'm super positive on this camera. The details look incredible, and closeups have better focus. Even running at 2880, I found this scene outperformed many other scenes at 4000+. I'll definitely be seeking out scenes with this camera in the future. I'd really love to see a passthrough scene from it!

Could it be worth creating a new type of scene tag for camera hardware, that creators can opt to fill in (or leave blank)? Having it in the scene name may prove clunky in the long run.
