"hide" option stopped to work

Hi,

for some reason I can't hide videos or studios anymore.
Is this a bug that needs fixing?

Please elaborate on the issue: where do you try hiding videos and studios (the DeoVR app or the desktop SLR)?
Please describe your actions step by step.

When I try to hide a video, the thumbnail gets tagged as "this video has been hidden according to your preferences".
But when I reload the page, the videos do not disappear anymore.
Or is there a cap on how many videos a user can hide?
Should I reinstall deoVR?
Does it keep all my settings/preferences after reinstalling?

PeterGriffin456 There isn't a limit on how many videos you can hide.
Is it correct that the issue persists only in the DeoVR app?
What headset do you use?
Did you try hiding videos from the main page or when you opened categories?

I have the same problem. Using Quest 3 and latest DeoVR version. If I hide a studio from videos new -tab it does not stay hidden. Same video still appears in new category using DeoVR even thought it should have been hidden.

Using computer and desktop version of SLR those hidden videos are hidden as expected.

Is there an ETA to have the issue of unable to hide video or studio with DeoVR in Quest 3 fixed? It has been several weeks and it greatly reduces my watching experience because I usually hide at least 50% of new releases and don't want to see them ever to save my time. I'm not implying anything about the quality of these releases, It's just my personal taste.

I use Quest 3 with classic DeoVR.
I do not use the desktop version.
I noticed it in the "new" section.

They suspended my forum account 2-days ''no reason given'' and deleted my comments for pressing the hide subject. To the strong/brave porn forum staff that did it, bravo, I ain't no ''hide topic'' lead investigative ringleader. Like, that was not necessary at all. We're all paying customers speaking out about the same thing- a broken hide feature that's offered. I now just silently follow new pop up comments and see the usual stall tatic responses ''what device do you use? Do you use the playstation 2 browser or ask myspace support?''

I just got DeoVR update yesterday. Version 15.5.1.3735. I dont know what have you updated. There has always been topic for these updates. I liked that policy. It is nice to know what has been updated and fixed (and what has been messed up because of bad update 🙂 Now there is none.

Is this becoming new normal? Like SRL blog which has not been updated since half year ago. Is the conclusion less information for users -> less work and promises? On the contrary I see this forum and blog as a learning platform for the users and SLR/DeoVR how to improve.

"SLR/DeoVR single man developer team" must be full of work or the software is piece of shit if this kind of hide feature (which worked before) is so hard to fix in two weeks using modern AI. Do you really focus on relevant issues or what are you working on?

@Picouser They did the math and getting fat double checks keeping hide off. Get used to it and let em do what they want. We are tired. I rather that, than be told NASA is partnering up to fix hide, this week, next week, soon

Unsure where that would steer the conversation. Here, instead let's do something more basic and wait for the hide fix

This is genuine SLR "overpromise and underdeliver" strategy.

Hide option have stopped working almost 2 months ago and time has passed more than month from last promise they are fixing it. We have to remember that hide option worked great few updates back.

Well, maybe they are concentrating all their effort to new BYOJ because they removed the old working one. In this case I am suprised they can not give any ETA, not even this year 🙁 It is so hard to love SLR right now.
