The handcrafted scripts are on a whole other level.
For the most part, the AI scripts are decent. They're not going to be super accurate, or capture those really subtle but memorable actions - but on the whole, they're good enough to move fast when the girl is moving fast, etc.
Sometimes, if the angles are weird, it can misread the motion and go off the rails, or not add the intensity that should be there, but that's rare.
In general, the 2D AI stuff is bad. It just doesn't capture some of the motions quite right.
