Going to test 10 bit color soon

just imagine SLR Originals in 200º FOV, 6K and 10 bit color 🤩
10 bit decoding is supported by Quest2 btw

@doublevr out of curiosity, what headsets that are currently available that have a 180 or 200 degree FOV? The only one I know of is the Pimax 8k.

That's what makes them bad to use in VR video that isn't 360°

Having a headset with equal or larger FOV than the video will:

Downscale the picture quality; unless the resolution of the display equals- or is greater than that of the video.
Leave you with empty void on both sides just like you have black sidebars on TV.

To be fair, the Pimax 8K does meet the "requirements" of point 1, but only for 200° =< video >= 8K.
