Brand new DeoVR Hyper App for Meta Quest and Apple Vision Pro

fokton

Does Hyper autodetect in which format the video is played? It looks like its standard blocked at 180vr and you can only change it manual.

Jasonrai

Does hyper have a mode to select scenes like like bj etc n deovr.. couldn't find it

doublevr

Jasonrai what's this mode? How it works?

doefi3

any plans to add horizontal offset setting to transform controls? it helps improve bad scaling which is most videos, so its one of the settings i adjust the most. it missing is whats keeping me from using hyper over deovr

Mdambach10

What is the timeline for adding A-B looping, or ability to speed/slow video/script, as I use these features in most sessions within DEOVR, and I find Hyper limiting with not having these features presently. Thanks.

AlexSLR

@doefi3 @Mdambach10 can you please specify what headset you are using?

doefi3

AlexSLR quest3

Mdambach10

AlexSLR Same here, using quest 3

Scateck

Improvement Suggestion for Hyper.

Adjusting the Horizontal/Vertical position is a maximum pain in Hyper on Quest 3.

open control interface --> hold grip button --> hold Trigger --> adjust --> close control interface

This is ridiculously complex and breaks immersion.

Suggestion:

Use Grip button with closed interface to adjust.

AlexSLR

@doefi3 @Mdambach10 can't tell the exact time frame, hoping to add it in the upcoming releases.

AlexSLR

Scateck Thanks for your feedback, noted.

meta quest 3s, can't use left controller the 3 lines button to recenter headset like deovr

would like pin code to enter app

would like pin code to enter to reveal certain bookmarks. so others using the app wont see certain bookmarks

AshSLR

radial Hello, to re-center the app, hold the Meta button or the Oculus button for a few seconds. As for the PIN code suggestion, I have forwarded it to the team, thank you

SM0k3

No controls except back button working on the psvr2 controllers on AVP for me

radial

AshSLR Both of those buttons are on the right controller, which is ... .unavailable while watching a video. I often use the left controller the 3 lines button to recenter or to reposition the angle with the deovr app

acjackson2431

radial That's a setting in the actual quests system options. You can remap the Meta button from the right controller to the left controller.

Kieshi Why after so many months this app is still totally unusable? Do you think one should stay frozen while watching movies (otherwise the player control panel continuously shows up without invoking it)?

AshSLR

SM0k3 The full support will be added in the future

Kieshi

I am using the Quest 2. In the previous DeoVR app, there was the possibility to use your own local scripts for streaming videos by putting them in the Interactive folder at the root of the file system. I am pretty sure, that this would also work in the Hyper App. Problem is: the Hyper App does not request full file access, which it would need to get the files from the Interactive folder. At least on Quest 2, I can't actively just give it that access without it requesting it. Is there a possibility to get this to work, to have the Hyper App request access?
