harigeharry I mean current state of anything that just starting is going to be low. You have to have a bit of patience as it grows. Remember, this SBS VR stuff took like 30 years to get off the ground: I rmeember a nintendo red screen thing from the 90's had like 1 medeocure game, mario tennis. Forgot what the headset was called, but it was trash. Nausea, headaches, one color. Now look at your apple vision pro with hand and eye tracking, 16k, iris tracking, etc. $350 standalone vr headsets like he quest 3. Gotta pay in to fund the tech, right now there are too many people shooting it down and its still in 'flip phone' phase.
Im not looking for anything to replace SBS. I dont think anyone is. I like having a different interface; from flat mode on my computer screen, to simple vr SBS, to Gaussian-Splatting. Its in its infancy, yeah, but if there is a market then the tech will improve, like anything else. First it needs more traction and a viewer base. Also dont forget, you can also overlay volumetric on top of a current sex toy/doll. Can be a lot of interesting things you can do with it
