Will there be a separate category of scripts for the Handy Pro?

Handy's range of 30-500u/s is about to be superseded. Handy 2 is gonna run at 30 - 550u/s, which isn't a massive difference, but the Pro's range is 1-800u/s, completely different, which opens the field for an entirely new set of scripts.

How are SLR planning to script for this beast? Will there be a separate icon for 'Pro compatible', enabling people to bring handmade scripts to the table. How about some AI scripts for the Pro? Has this been considered? Or is it all too much faff and bother at this stage?

My two cents, i'd suggest getting in there early, so you have a decent ecosystem in place for when it becomes more ubiquitous...

H1 and normal version of H2 have the same speed 32-400mm/s. Handy2Pro speed is 32-450mm/s and if you want you can overclock... 1-800mm/s is the recommended max speed but you can overclock all the way from 1-1600mm/s (4x times faster than H1 and normal H2.)

Most scripts already have movements that are much higher than 400mm/s but most devices wont be able to reach those speeds so the stroke range gets shorter. If you use are currently using a H1 and then switch to a H2P with OC you will be able notice a difference in your favorite scripts without having to do any changes to the script.

edit: H2 also have a longer stroke range(125mm) so it will already move faster than the H1 on every point in a script just because of the extra range.

Yea, i'm thinking that lots of the smoothing the Handy's doing at the moment will translate into actual movements, which is nice. Best case scenario, everything feels fresh and new! Still, i doubt many of the scripts that are Handy orientated will be massively taxing on an OCH2, i'm kinda hoping there will be a few things available specifically for an OCH2. Top end speeds are one thing, what really fascinates me is the low end speed. i doubt there's any handy scripts that deliberately dip below 32.

Curious now if i can run the multi axis scripts on an OCH2 via Q3 only to link them. As long as it's capable of running the single axis bit without borking, it would be a better test of an OCH2, as OSR scripts have much more range.

@SLR any thoughts on a OCH2 tab, or whether i could run the OSR scripts on the Pro via the headset only...?
