Here we must run as fast as we can, just to stay in place. And if you wish to go anywhere you must run twice as fast as that.

I download many scenes but I'm into PCVR and can run them through heresphere at a much high level of quality then you can get any other way and at 120fps. A giant library of porn stored locally on your PC is a liability though. When streaming can provide the same quality there will be less use of downloads.

BeltManFen Not sure I understand your post. What does 'pornvr' (I assume you mean vrporn.com like you said in that other post) have to do with all this? I have a lifetime here on SLR, mainly for the SLR originals and coincidentally I'm at this moment a monthly subscriber at VRporn.com, already cancelled it, just HAD to get that Armani Black ARporn vid, LOL. But anyway I feel only the arporn studio vids on vrporn.com are worth it, but not enough to have a lifetime there, but to each their own of course. I have lifetimes at most other vr sites though and I feel that the quality of the models have deteriorated on pretty much all on them. On sites like virtualtaboo.com or realjamvr.com I haven't downloaded even a single video in months, I think I haven't even downloaded 1 video on virtualtaboo this year, on realjamvr only 1 for this year. I used to be a monthly member on www.naughtyamericavr.com and czechvr, I only need 1 single good video to become a monthly member again but I'm waiting for over a year already for both sites. It's sad how quality has plummeted so much.

Personally I feel the models are better here at the SLR originals. Last month we had Yasmina and of course Adriana Chechik which both were damn hot so I'm happy. My biggest problem with SLR currently is the super low bitrates on recent originals, really the lowest in the industry right now, which as I understand, is an error, but it still hasn't been fixed and it's been going on for a while now ... But @doublevr promised 3 free HBR video's per month so I'm fine with that. Just hoping SLR hurries up with that 🙂

Only have SLR for jav which is half their catalog yet they refuse to make a jav mode though they have a jav site. Been asking for half a decade now. They have a good UI but refuse to fix issues that were brought up years ago. Like let the tag system be vote based so the tags actually work in search. If videos with the tag in the name aren't being properly tagged what's the use of search?

If only 10% of the site downloads then why the hell did you remove the HBRs? As for the crazy downloaders, you create this effect, like in the stock market, by your, too often, changes in download limits and others. In any case you do not listen to your customers and it is never a good sign for a company. For example, we have been complaining about the PT quality of the SLR/PT videos (bitrate and colorimetry) for months and you do nothing. More than 25 days ago you half acknowledged here this problem and to this day nothing has been resolved. For my part I'm leaving the SLR boat and yet I was ready to pay more for my subscription to have all the possible qualities but certainly not to pay for Pay to View.

Please continue providing the high bitrate original versions for download; for certain scenes I like, I download and play them locally using a combination of XBVR and Heresphere.

A 20 Mbit bitrate video will never compare to a 120 Mbit one and in VR where the picture is right next to your eyes, the distinction matters a lot.

While it may be off-topic, I would appreciate it if you could consider enhancing the lighting in your scenes, as it can often have a greater impact than bitrate.

doublevr If that's the case and its so low then why do you even limit downloads in the first place? If you ask me, if it really is that low then letting people download freely should have very little impact on servers then? How about your team tests this and removes download limits moving forward? Seems to me that this is the only way to truly prove downloads are as insignificant as your team makes them out to be.

My viewing style (jumping around the video quite a bit), combined with poor streaming speeds (local ISP to blame more so than SLR), means that I download all of the content I want to watch later.

I miss out on handy search features, recognisable thumbnails (DEO simly provides a screenshot from the mid point of the video), and chapters.

It used to be annoying when JAV studios didn't allow downloads, but I've been able to slowly build up my collection of those videos as well.

I also 'float' a mirror of my TV screen inside the 3D environment and pornwall two other flatscreen vids side by side, but those vids are mostly downloaded from xvideos or similar sites.

I’m not someone who downloads a ton of content but, when I do download, I want the highest quality available and that’s why I chose a lifetime subscription here over other aggregator sites. It’s extremely disappointing to see SLR trying to double dip by getting me to pay more for the things that were included in the price when I signed up.

If churn is the issue, and by that I’m assuming you’re talking about people signing up for a month and downloading a ton of scenes before leaving, then why not tailor download limits accordingly. Limit downloads to a lower amount for the first month of membership and then increase it more in the 2nd month and so on. People with annual or especially lifetime memberships are not churners and should therefore not have this stuff taken away from us.

I used to save scenes pretty often, but now I only save the occasional S tier vid or something unique/niche. There's an incredible feature that streaming has that doesn't work on local playback though, and it's not AI pass-through (although it's a close second). It's the preview/scrubbing feature on the video timeline and I don't think I could go without it. The ability to see almost the entire video start to finish in one swipe across the timeline is invaluable and it's such a time saver. It's easily my favorite feature and I wish it was possible on local playback as well.

Thogapotomus That's a good point. Some other things I miss with downloaded videos is a handy search feature, and useable thumbnails. The main reason I will continue to download is because SLR have, in the past, removed videos from their platform. If I hadn't downloaded them they would be out of reach for me, and who's to say they won't do it again?
