  • Fisheye Mesh for SLR Orignals isn't used if I play them via DLNA

It's still true for the last versions of DeoVR and SLR App (V8.21) that playing downloaded SLR Originals with Fisheye 200/220° over DLNA doesn't use the unique included Fisheye Mesh configuration (and yes, I've the Fisheye tags "_MKX200", "_MKX220" or "_VRCA220" in the filename). Videos then start as Flat Mono and I've to choose first 180 and SideBySide. For all other tags (like "_180_LR" or "_360_TB") there is no issue and they are correctly recognized (I'm using build in DLNA Server from Windows10/WMP) and switch the view like needed. For SLR Orignals Fisheye videos I've also to activate the Fisheye switch in the settings but I know that this not give the correct view and there is bad distortion.
And I think this is the reason for the bad reputation for your 200/220° Fisheye videos especially for Quest or Go users as they don't download the videos on the device (like mine) for limited space reasons and use DLNA.
It's not enough to say as advice to use SLR App or DeoVR for viewing as this gives in this case the same bad results as every other standard Fisheye capable player.
For me it now only works for streaming in the SLR App and DeoVR App. There I know the SLR Originals Fisheye is correctly configured if the Fisheye switch disappears from the settings menu. And then the quality is really great (except the Meana video, here the scale is really off. What happened? Are we using the wrong mesh? (200° instead of 220° ?)

I wan't to play the downloaded SLR Originals Fisheye videos correctly over DLNA with SLR App or DeoVR, so please fix this as this perhaps can also avoid some misunderstandings in the community.

Thanks for heads up, I'll pass to unity

Addition: I've only checked with SLR App for Quest and Go as I own these headsets.

    a month later

I've figured out how it correctly works over DLNA (Tested this with DeoVR 8.3 and SLR App 8.2 and 8.3). You have to add _LR to the filename so that it's recognized correctly with custom mesh added for fisheye and side-by-side presentation. So this should be in the filename: _MKX200_LR
