  • So what's the solution to duplicates and the 'NEW' section?

I see posts all the time about creators making duplicates (or the same scene with a 10 minute extended ending). For the customer, this is of course a nuisance as it sets the precedence that all studios will end up doing this. The 'NEW' section will thus be a series of repeated content and will in fact not actually be new.

So what is the solution? Ban everything that is not in fact new? Sure. How? A 'report duplicate' feature has been suggested and seems like a good idea.

But I think we are looking in the wrong direction. The only reason these duplicates even exist is because the 'NEW' category is completely dominating in every way.

This thread is meant to serve as a place to discuss what positive solutions exist (or are conceivably possible) for creators to have their content receive enough coverage that they do not need to repost duplicates. As right now, the only real coverage creators get is when they are featured in the NEW section.

Creators are rewarded for doing it, so nothing will change unless the behavior is disincentivized. That would require some kind of intervention from SLR.

The other big sites don't seem to have this problem unless I don't notice.
What do they do differently? Do the pay the studios in a different way?

    We’ve implemented a rule that prohibits studios from uploading scenes that already exist. Moderators will reject any duplicated content.
