Question to computer wizards our there. Is there any way to know a video is in fisheye format before you actually download a file and see ''fisheye'' in the files name? So many videos are NOT marked with fisheye icon and just starting a download consumes 1 out of 30 downloads per allocated time limit
Fisheye videos.
Sagidu There are essentially only two types of fisheye videos widely used on SLR (and across most sites):
- MKX200 (which has the 200 fisheye badge in the thumbnail)
- FISHEYE190 RF52 (which does not have any fisheye badge in the thumbnail)
(There are other types, like Fisheye 120/135/180 but those are far less common and not on SLR)
You're probably coming across the FISHEYE190 videos. There is no badge in the thumbnail, but when you look at the Info tab, under the scene description, and above the tags, you'll see "Video specifications" which will have "Fisheye" and "190".
In the thumbnail contact sheets that SLR used to provide, the filename is also in there (along with the revision number), which is very useful information, since the revision number isn't actually appended in the download of the file, but only in the contact sheet... Still wish they would bring this feature back @doublevr
Aside from those methods, there are really only a handful of studios that release fisheye:
- SLR Originals
- StasyQ
- KinkyGirlsBerlin
- Various PMV editors/compliations of SLR Originals
