I am worried that tariffs will include VR porn. It already costs a few dollars to download and save the videos to your profile, or roughly $25 a month for a subscription to SLR. If there is language in the tariff laws specifically concerning JAV, Czech, or any foreign non American VR porn, then the prices on SLR will go up. I know the news focused on common household goods and construction costs going up, but did any news story focus on VR porn at all????

Yet another reminder that the US education system has horribly failed it's people...
The tariffs are only directly applied to imported tangible goods. A porn site subscription is a service, so it's not directly subject to the tariffs.
That said, the tariffs have wide-reaching impacts on the economy that impact almost everything, including services. Many businesses in the services industry depend on imported tangible goods, directly or indirectly. If their costs go up due to the traiffs, they will pass on those costs to customers. The higher prices lead to lower consumption, which slows economic growth and results in people losing their jobs. Businesses earn less, people earn less, everything goes to shit.
SLR isn't a US company so their exposure is probably relatively low. They do operate in the US and employee people in the US, so their costs might increase a bit. They may earn less too which could drive up prices. SLR doesn't exactly buy their foreign content like JAV either. They get the content for free and pay royalties.
Hairsational To be fair, the EU is currently exploring ways to effectively tariff/tax digital services between US companies and EU end-users, since those make up a substantial part of US->EU trade. Obviously that's the opposite direction, but I guess it's likely that the US would retaliate (mostly targeting Spotify I guess) if any substantial targeting of US big tech were to happen, especially with how much those companies have donated to the Trump administration.
