This was an incredible feature and now it seems all time money and effort was for nothing if it will just be deleted in a few months, rip
SLR Drive Deprecated
Looks like videos have already been taken down or the server is down. My videos are showing on the site, but not in the App.
renstimpy11 AI created
I like it and don't
It could look so real possibly taking the need for real women in the porn industry
Leaders could suggest banning real porn with real women if we have ai looking as realistic as the real thing. In the name of safety and protecting women and men from the porn industry no real porn allowed and enter the Walmart of porn, AI porn! Smh
That's what I worry about. Just the idea of someone will think "hey we no longer need real people we can just ai it. Yeah bro...maybe we should reconsider this fake porn ai trend.
Hey bro, why no Mr Deepfakes vr videos here on slr yet? Copy rights?
If we won't have the option to maintain the files on the drive, I'd like the option to download the generated scripts before it's all wiped forever.

Aww fudge. Wish I knew ahead of time so I could've used up my tokens. There were scenes I planned to use them on.
casperov Wishful thinking but it won't happen
Legal issues? I can see that if other VR/porn studios felt like it was copyright infringement to have their videos uploaded via your service or something,
Or was it technological?
We could all use some more explanation for this as the feature was hyped up a lot and those that got to use it REALLY liked it. It was probably my favorite thing about SLR in recent years.
renstimpy11 That reddit post is insane! Definitely where things are headed. I can't believe how fast AI has evolved. Eventually AI passthrough videos you can generate yourself. Crazy times.
Absolutely love the Drive feature on this site. Worth the money, we'll see how it progresses with whatever service comes next.
svanir Legal issues sounds likely given the suddenness. If it really was, well, I called that out when drive was just an idea.

Hairsational Legal issues sounds likely given the suddenness.
It's hard to believe that people are naive enough to think this would end well - As an older and wiser user, never ever become a beta tester unless they pay you and forgod sake consumers shouldn't invest in something that is still being developed - It beggars belief !
But again... it's entertainment for me
I'd like to say this was a good move with regards to my streamlining comment due to the upcoming economic turbulence, but if this is gonna be relaunched under a different guise then it's just posponing economic losses.
This tech needs to be less reliant on server space (costly to host and user) and either use downloaded tech / app that can create a mask on the fly similar to what i assume is used for the cams or create a dedicated downloadable app that will create a mask for a specific user scene with variables similar to codecs for user preference.
Basically putting all the work back onto the user who have a decent computer with zero processing costs to SLR
A one off cost for the downloadable software of $19.99 - I'd pay that to create my own masks of files / scenes i own - but there is not a chance in hell i would pay $6.99 per scene as proposed lol
Also sell the tech under license to other studios
Silly-Sausage RIP kickstarter
doublevr RIP kickstarter
Xanadu oblivion
Silly-Sausage Does anyone think we don't know how to manage our money?

I definitely second the idea that a standalone app downloadable for offline use where we could apply AI maps to our vids would be great. There would be no need for storage on SLR servers/space and then we could get around any legal issues as well since it would only be material we, the end users, would have access to.
Otherwise, what is the plan if any currently to make this standalone AI/Drive/Hub thing? And what will differ about it that will make it permissible if it indeed was legal reasons? Or if it was technology issues/space issues, how it being standalone be better/feasible?
Thanks
Hairsational Same here. I questioned how this could be legal without getting sued when I first heard about this. I was told it was just like hosting by other companies so I let it go. I might not know much about computers but I do know business in America being an American.

agreed, have a standalone app thats like an "SLR Player" that can connect to the server, generate ai masks, and haptics, the ai mask and the haptic are encrypted so that hey can only be played within the app. Make the app like 10$ a month or something. you can keep the haptic/ai mask server side but the video file can be local.
