It's a tricky one as i won't buy a scene under an hour long ! I want value for money and more of a chance that a position i like is included and not rushed

...Damn why can't we just stay as we are ? I don't care about AV1 or upcoming changes - I think everybody was happy and content !

The reality is anything i like turns to shit

Well one solution I could personally live with is just limit either the amount of HBR downloads per month per client (I guess I could live with 2 for example). Or limit the amount of GB downloaded per month per client, so also low bitrate downloads add up. I guess I could live with either of those. But paying $7 PPV, while I already paid for a subscription, nah, makes no sense, just pisses me off and I won't spend a dime extra.

But honestly, I suspect this is not about saving costs, this is about trying to get extra money out of the subscribers, having us pay for stuff we thought we already paid for.

You're probably right, unfortunately the more i feel coerced into paying for something, the more i back away.

So many subs i have cancelled due to c,hange of service - I understand this is a business plan to lure customers in and to fuck them over slowly - but i think the overall general customers are getting wise to it and won't take that shit anymore.

...or maybe i'm just more intelligent than most ๐Ÿ™‚

Nothing but absolutely misplaced greed to squeeze every penny they can out of you and constantly give you less and less for it. AV1 is not that much of a smaller file size, so no significant savings there, also at the same time they decide to host flat 2D content, so any minimal savings in space are now wasted on useless 2D content, so that doesnt make sense. So now if you want to download higher bitrate you will have to pay more???? So ultimately that is what all of this was about, as I have been saying for months, yes they do prioritize streaming, you know damn well they are harvesting user data and they can only do so if everyone is streaming, not downloading and watching offline. And along those same lines stricter download limits over time and now complete removal of high bitrate downloads unless you pay extra per scene? Are you mad?

Download all your content while you can! Pretty soon all other studios will have the same ridiculous "MAX" download options only and they will make you pay if you want to get high bitrate option. It may be too late for the new SLR content but all other studios seem to still have their high bitrate options still available. If you dont think these greedy people ultimately will want you to only have streaming rights you are out of your mind, they just know they cant enforce that at this point without losing a significant amount of subscribers, but they are taking you there one step at a time and soon enough they will be doing the same thing with porn that they gaming industry does where you dont own crap and are only paying for a license to use the material. Download EVERYTHING

Yes people are inherently stupid and will accept anything they are told up to a certain point.

I think VR users tend to have a higher intelligence due to the nature of the tech involved even if it is porn - But we all have a limit of tolerance !

'Falling down' is a great movie

mixbets78 You have a limit for downloading videos, a limit for downloading scripts (even AI generated!) and now you take us off the high bitrate of your videos.

Apparently, there is already a "fair use" cap on script streaming (kilobytes). You do the math for what comes next.

metichemsi so any minimal savings in space are now wasted on useless 2D content

We have been told that by the end of the year there shall be a library of half a million flat videos. When people had raised concerns that flat may be a waste of resources, we have been told that flat will cost $0. Not $0.02 and not $0.01 but precisely $0.00.

The thing is that half a million flat videos will occupy as much space as the entire VR library give or take. If space for flat doesn't cost anything, there is no need for SLR customers to even start discussing cost savings on the VR end.

The last video "Melissa In Your Room" is 27.6 Mb of bitrate but apparently by some unknown magic those from SLR count double. I just looked at the latest releases this Friday from other studios and they are all above 50 mb/s

I am believing they will do the right thing and bring their quality standards back up. Some of the previous pass throughs were absolutely some of the crispest quality I have ever seen. If thats mainly the bitrate, do the right thing by your subbers and bring the quality back up to 120 again.

does anyone know why the 'Only Daddiez' scene was so crisp and high quality? i feel like ive never seen a scene that high quality ever....and havent again since, was it due to a new camera? or how the lighting was setup?

Manny_S thanks for the response, hats off to everyone involved. im presuming that scenes of that quality takes double/triple the time of a regular scene, so its not viable to have such high quality on every release?
