SLR brings together videos from all over the world and attracts users from every corner of the globe. Imagine if SLR could use AI to generate subtitle files for every video and then translate them into different languages based on users’ settings—wouldn’t that be amazing? It would not only enhance the viewing experience but also allow more people to enjoy the content without language barriers. What do you think of this idea?

        HughMungus Except for what I have seen in AI subtitles for JAV where the translation often falls flat. With VR (single person talking, generally not complex dialog, recorded clearly), it may be functional. Anything beyond the VR setup though and using it as a study tool would be highly discouraged.

          I've translated a couple scenes for myself using Davinci Resolve's AI transcription tool and various JP to EN text translators. And there is a lot of manual intervention, re-processing, and a sprinkle of filling-in-the-blanks by context. it results in serviceable subtitles but probably with a lot of inaccuracies. I would also love AI subtitles on SLR but it wouldn't be very good i think. But in the case of this sort of content, maybe low quality and inaccurate but somewhat coherent and plausible could be acceptable?
