ARPORN passthrough quality

AR Porn uses 10 bit instead of 8 bit, so much more color info. Didn't see that mentioned. Second like most mentioned there is the 75-80mb/s bitrate which is a lot higher then SLR streaming. Also there is a slight resolution advantage of 8192x4096 VS SLR at 8000x4000.

I didn't A/B compare it though.

inzane90 HBR = High Bit Rate, so the studio master. The files that usually are more than 50 GB in size.

Interesting! I hadnt seen that but that's indeed true and should make for some better colors indeed for the arporn vids. Not sure if I have seen the difference in colors though, would need to do some more A/B

And yeah, there's a slight resolution advantage on arporn but no way that that makes up for the almost double bit rate of the SLR studio master files. Like said, I find most arporn videos a bit simple compared to the studio master files from SLR, there's quite a big difference in details.

harigeharry You'll instantly notice it on the backgrounds of the passthrough video (not AI passthrough), where SLR has artifacts at the parts where color shades blend into one another and AR Porn doesn't. However, you probably notice the most difference when you have OLED or QLED and on actually useful parts lol, but I don't have that unfortunately😒.

harigeharry I also downloaded Kama Oxi HBR and it’s unwatchable.

For the record, my intention isn’t to promote ARPorn, it’s to get SLR’s AR Passthrough to be better.

I’ll keep trying on some of the newer ones and see if I get the same “wow, she’s really in my room” feeling that I get with ARporn. Unfortunately I don’t love many of the actresses in the newer ones. I just looked and I love Carolina Guerrero so I’ll try that one and then the Emily Jade and will a/b to the ARporn one.

Edit never mind

inzane90

I used both Studio master and 8k max and I'm not noticing much of difference visually.

However, I'm mainly testing Native Pass through Videos. Using a Meta 3.

harigeharry

inzane90 Well there are 2 factors here. It will be more difficult to spot differences on a lower resolution headset like a Quest 3. It's easier on an AVP or XR for the simple fact that these show much more information. And secondly we all are different in our perception processes, not everybody will notice the same differences. So even on these higher resolution headsets there will be people who agree with you.

I know for a fact that I see much more details on the high bitrate files from SLR. Even to the point that I feel that the arporn videos are a bit 'dull', they just lack details because of the 50% lower bitrate. Same goes of course for the lower bitrate SLR files.

i had arporn and aint no way its better than slr. The scaling is off, the pornstar looks like freaking giants. lol

The scenes shot exclusively for passthrough I’d say are on par with SLR. Their AI passthrough scenes are horrendous and need a lot of work. Unwatchable for me. SLRs AI is leagues better. I subscribe to them for their exclusive scenes, though, which are great and often have models not seen elsewhere.

doublevr

I was 1 in 10 to notice the quality difference. Probably people with smaller ipd can only see it.
More tests next week

doublevr for me it's the color/lighting that makes all the difference

Danronald You may know this alr day, but you can choose to stream SLR AR vids as AI PT and hide the male model. It's in the passthrough settings on the end get in the player. I have such a preference for removing the male, that' is my go to move.

The removing male option in SLR really hurts my ability to appreciate ARPorn's videos.

cprn

The difference in quality is still there between AR porn and SLR AR, look closely at hair edges during movement.

Danronald

Arsians_com there is at least one anal. Ivy Ireland did an amazing AI PT scene with anal. I believe Asteria Jade and Nikki Nicole. My subscription to VR Porn expired so I can’t watch again. I may just subscribe to AR Porn only since SLR has everything else I need

You somehow managed to make her look like an oompa loompa - it takes 'special' colour correction skills to achieve that level of colour blindness.
