It's about the editing and exporting.
Those AR videos take a shitload of processing power.
To generate the Arsians Halloween scene in 8k60 it took a week of rendering. We had to cheat in multiple ways to even get it to release, like render into PNG so we can continue after power outages etc.
This week I finally managed to get a 5090 and can now start to edit AR videos how they are supposed to be done, with color correction etc.
Keep in mind I am the only third party AR producer in the world because of the technical difficulty, it is way too early to experiment with the medium if you want to be commercially successful.

It costs a fortune in equipment and makes less than VR because most users can't play AR content yet.

Personally I don't like anything AR porn has shot until now because there never is anal, that can't be fixed with editing.

What AR content are you referring to, where can it be found and what does it take to play it? I am a bit confused as you mentioned the Arsians Halloween scene and this is a regular video on SLR.

Teeteeboi I don't agree because for me SLR has largely caught up with the ARPorn studio recently and they have largely surpassed them whether it be on casting, video length, scaling and sharpness I think they have regained their place as leader while the videos from the ARPorn studio continue to deteriorate on all points and they have not even resolved their scaling problems since the beginning while everyone pointed it out to them which proves that they unfortunately don't care.

I started to think I was the only one noticing this... Doesn't matter how good the image quality is, these projection issues make most parts of these videos unusable for humans from planet Earth.

Not sure I agree. Especially the scenes filmed by Alex Nash are among the best out there, equal or even better than the ones from *****. The ones from George have improved a lot. Their quality still varies but it's at least WAY beter than when they begun shooting. But yeah they're still not up to the level where Alex nash and Arporn are, I'll agree there, although they're getting closer.

I realize this is an old thread but had to bump. I have to agree, the green screen PT on ARporn are incredible! I don’t know why as I’m not a filmmaker but the realism is far superior to the SLR gray screen.

What really gets me with ARporn is you can see the “flaws” in the ladies…little stretch marks, skin discoloration even bumps. It makes them look human vs AI. I don’t feel that way with the SLR or VRspy PT.

I also think the green screen is better with blonde women while the gray is better with brunettes when it comes to the hair looking real.

I do agree that the non-green screen PT looks like absolute shit while SLRs is fantastic. However the green screen PT works so well for me I don’t really want to watch anything else.

They just released Emily Jade…wow!!! I compared to SLRs and it isn’t even close. Maybe it’s my settings? I’m watching on Quest 3 through DEO. I watch ARporn through Playa

They both have their pros & cons. I've never had a problem with perspective with either studio.
For a while there, SLR was severely lacking in the quality department; but has managed to pull it together with their latest releases. Probably due to the way the videos are compressed when encoded & the bitrate.

For me it comes down the the models. They have to sell the performance. One of my favorite videos from AR is Angel Youngs. Just down right phenomenal. And a favorite from SLR would be Anya Olsen. I don't care about the the post processing or color correction as that can be changed to your liking depending on your environment. Most of the time the saturation is too much.

As far as the passthough goes ARPorn is terrible, so far. SLR wins big here.

In what way is ARP passthrough terrible? The videos they realease have much better quality and sharpeness, SLR is not even close to have the same image quality in passthrough videos.

If you are talkling about AI passthrough then I would agree that SLR wins.

I agree with @Danronald, comparing ARPorn and PT on SLR, SLR scenes seems "blurry" compared to ARPorn, like details in the skin of the performer. I'd add CzechAR too, only down for me from CzechAR is not having the mask on the render, but you can see all the model details too, is like very real, feels like you are really in front of the girl. For example this scene with Zazie Skymm, you can see all the freckles on her chest and body:

I completely disagree. When you download HBR from SLR, the SLR quality is substantially better than the downloads from ARporn. Which makes sense, since the bitrate and filesize from SLR is just way higher. The ARporn bitrate is 75.0 Mb/s every time. The bitrate from SLR's HBR files varies but is usually around 140 Mb/s, almost double.

Maybe you guys are talking about streaming quality directly from the websites, not sure, but streaming is worse quality anyway. Not sure what the stream bitrates are on either of the 2 sites but it definitely is substantially lower than the numbers above. It could be that the SLR streaming bitrate is actually lower than the arporn streaming bitrate, who knows, haven't checked. I'm not interested in streaming anwyay since I want the best possible quality. You get that by downloading the SLR HBR files.

it doesn't look that much better, and honestly, their directing sucks nowadays. it's too repetitive. their missionary looks more like they're just laying there getting fucked by one of those fucking machines, in slow mode. it's like there's no passion. every once in a while they have some girls like August Skye who bring some energy despite the poor directing

I want them to fire the twisted dick guy, apart from that minor complaint I like their stuff. That Angel Youngs scene is the best PT scene yet, what a talent she is.

I figured out the terminology. ARporn’s Passthrough AR for me is incredible (quest 3 and streaming through PlayaVR). Their Passthrough AI is a joke and unwatchable.

SLR’s Passthrough AR has moments but I find disappointing most of the time. Kama Oxi looks distorted. Asteria Jade’s face is discolored and so on. They don’t look real.

Any suggested settings for brightness, contrast and so forth while streaming through DEO?
