rerun119 I just tested this and got the same result. I went to an SLR Original and it defaulted to the AI script, i had to go to the options on the right side to switch it to the RealCumber script.

HughMungus hi, can you please let me know if this is happening with one exact video or on all videos that you open?
We have checked and on our end manual script always plays by default, so we would need more details to reproduce it. If it happens on one video, please let us know which one

InfiniteFun I dont have too many handmade or downloaded scripts. Would you happen to know how they load? Like does the video title matter a lot? I want to keep them organized, so I will download a script on slr and then rename it to my liking and it seems to work sofar. But does the name of the script have to match the name of the video it is linking to 100% word for word, or does it just have to have a few similar words, or can it be something completely different like jibberish code and still sorta find the video and match itself? Do you know? I just want to make sure im good to rename the scripts and store them or if Im better off leaving them alone

sogman ...in my experience, title is very important, like matching an .srt file for subtitles, you need to rename the funscript file so it exactly matches the video it's encoded to...

HughMungus I've seen mention in a few threads about bggg+ scenes. I'm not sure if I'm what you like, but I'll be doing a few of those the 3rd week of March so maybe I can get one out the last week. I have some older content that I still need to move so all of the new stuff doesn't go first, but it's not falling on deaf ears.

sogman I can help you here.
Local scripts must be in "Interactive" folder and for local videos script file must match video name, for streaming it could be either video name or video ID

VRHotwife If it's shot mostly in POV then i'm sure i'll be excited to see it. I don't watch non pov because i use the haptic scripts and they don't work on non pov

HughMungus it looks like that particular scene issue. QA team couldn’t replicate with other

Kieshi It is not one scene. It is all of the scenes. Trust me I know because it happens on every one of them since the beginning.
I have brought this up before but no one cared. I don't care that much because I know to look and I am not the one losing money for my scripts not playing. But again it is ever single scene if you do what I said.
If you are just turning on Quest and loading up SLR and then connecting the handy and going to a SLR handmade script then it will play a handmade one.
          But
if you have the handy already connected and watch a AI script with the handy menu up and then switch to a different scene that has a handmade script but still have the handy menu up (like you would because that is how you change all the handy controls) then it will play the AI script EVERYTIME.
Then click the handy menu back button (the only way you can see which script is playing) and you will see that it says Realcumber script BUT it then reloads the script with Realcumbers script.
Unless this is somehow a glitch on my Quest 3 and my PC Pimax steam account.

This is easy to see if I am right or not from SLR side.
@RealcumberScripts should be getting 99% of all the scripts played that he has scripted.
No one is going to go and turn off his script and play an AI script over his. AI scripts can be good but not as good as his.

@rerun119 thanks for the extra steps to reproduce, helped a lot. Investigation into the issue is still ongoing, but from what I can see the issue might be that after exiting the Handy settings menu, the custom script is reloaded, so it might appear as the AI Script is loaded first. Looking at the heatmap of the script loaded on scene change and Handy movements though, it looks like the custom script is loaded.
Need to compare some of the data we recieve but I'll share the results on the investigation as soon as we are done with it. Thanks again!

Aeria the custom script is reloaded, so it might appear as the AI Script is loaded first. Looking at the heatmap of the script loaded on scene change and Handy movements though, it looks like the custom script is loaded.

Not sure exactly what you are saying. I'm not sure if you think it just looks like the handmade reloads or that it is loading for the first time.

I can tell you that I have watched MANY scripts that have a handmade script for the scene but the AI one loads. I know because the scene will have the girl touching the dick and the heatmap show nothing and the Handy not moving. So I look and then the handmade one loads with now showing that it should be moving. So I back up and it does move after loading the handmade script.

Good luck, I'm sure everybody has wanted handmade to come on as default.

Alright, looks like there might be a different cause to it then, as it differs from what I was getting when trying to reproduce the issue. Sent you a dm with some additional info request to help me narrow down the issue.

            a month later

Wow, lifetime is $299?! I paid $699 previously with a discount. Well, that sucks lol.

Having said that, I don't regret making the purchase. And I didn't expect any special perks... although with the pricing drop, maybe a discount on future services as a LT member would be appreciated... discount on Drive perhaps?? 🙂

Actually, that might be a good promotion strategy for SLR. LT members get additional savings on other services (now that there are other services). It may get more LT sign-ups.

              My thoughts/rant about lifetime

SLR is fully banking on VR taking off more in the future, obviously lifetime is not worth it for the company, as they need a steady income to keep existing/growing.

The only other option is that many people purchase lifetime without needing it, and barely using it afterwards. The pricing is setup to create a kind of FOMO (very common in many industries). But obv idk the data, I doubt this outweighs the money they’re missing out on from LT members though.

Unless above is true and SLR generates a ton off of lifetime by users who barely use the service after, they should get rid of lifetime ASAP. Economically it makes no sense. The pricing seems ridiculous, its around the same as most single studios.

You ask for discounts but you should understand that after purchasing LT, SLR does not care. We are dead weight to the company essentially. DL/script limits have been reduced too many times to count at this point, now file quality is being messed around with, being an LT member before this does not matter.

I think this is part of the reason why SLR is focussing on extra services, with ridiculous pricing (Cams/SLR Drive, up next is pay per view for the HQ file). To extract money from the people who are no longer paying but still straining their network.

I hope that SLR is financially healthy and my rant is some big BS, we’ll see.

Seems like Lifetime became a Ponzi scheme, where they needed ever more lifetimers to pay for the upkeep of existing lifers who no longer bring in revenue, leading to price drops to attract new lifers who then became a drain and so it goes on until implosion. So next step was charging existing Lifers for services like high quality downloads that we all assumed would be free for life.

I would be delighted to spend extra money on real added value features, but not on features that should be standard and were when I signed up. Such a shame, as I've always loved and defended SLR, even when others were critical.
