  • I want to make pt pmv, having trouble adding thumbnail clips

Most of the PT PMVs I feel are bad, so I figured Iā€™d try to do it myself. I'm trying to figure out how to add a small video clip into the PT videos, like a thumbnail clip. The thumbnail video clip disappears the moment I enable the alpha PT. It's fine with the chroma key.

    bboy7895 The red areas in the corners of the picture define what you can see in alpha PT. If what you add to the video is not within this area you will not see it.

        bboy7895 I guess it wouldn't be impossible for SLR but is likely not feasible with the resources you have available. You would probably have to regenerate the alpha-packed mask with an additive rectangle for your videos.

        There is a Blake Blossom PT video that has some objects on the floor that remain visible in PT. In the upper right corner you can see how they add to the alpha PT mask.

            Create circular mask of left eye.
            Duplicate clip.
            Move mask from duplicated clip to right side.

              xeddin1 How do I do that with DaVinci Resolve? If it's not capable, what video editing software should I get?

                  i will send you a .png transparent image you can put on top of the video which will make your thumbnail visible
