Is there a way to watch native passthrough videos on pcvr version of deovr? I can watch it on heresphere but deovr only gives me a black background.

    Just wondering why you even would want to watch it on deoVR? The quality on heresphere is way better.

        So you're watching directly from the website, via deovr? PT should automatically work then

          mixbets78 I don't think PCVR is going to support passthrough, if you're talking about using the Q3 Link functionality. It's never worked, to my knowledge. Maybe it has to do with the old Rift-style environment that's running.

              anordr PT could theoretically work even with link, I have shared apps on steam with the SLR team that have perfectly working PT using link, it was made by a single developer so I'm sure it will just take time and resources to get it to work if you use the steam version, but SLR has completely given up on updating their steam version and they could care less for user looking for more local playback options, all they are focused on is getting more people to stream instead.

                  metichemsi a lot of ppl who uses pcvr still stream. I started using pcvr, and I mainly stream unless I'm watching other sites like vrbangers and badoinkvr, then I go locally, obviously.

                  mixbets78 Wait, I didn’t know it was possible to watch passthrough on PCVR with Heresphere. I heard you can passthrough games using Virtual Desktop, but there's no video support yet

                        bboy7895 Yes it's working in heresphere on PCVR with virtual desktop. It's the only video app I see that has passthrough working. Both playa and deovr versions of PCVR only shows a black background.

                        It will be good to have this feature on DEOVR for streaming in PCVR which has much better video quality than native quest3.

                        Maybe someone from support could help us to know if this is going to be implemented in deovr pcvr app.

                        metichemsi latest update of deovr app on steam was January 30th... they are updating the app.

                              mixbets78 I heard from the dev that Alpha PT doesn't work on PCVR yet, so how does the passthrough compare to it?

                              Yeah, I've been dying to watch 8k 120fps PT videos, but obviously, standalone devices aren't capable of playing them. I'm gonna get Heresphere and try that

                                  bboy7895 It's only possible maximum 90 fps. You have to choose that option on virtual desktop. See heresphere update 0.10.0 I think. It's on discord how you can enable it.

                                  It will be great if anyone from support here would tell us if this possibililty in deovr app.

                                      mixbets78 Yea, I dled virtual desktop and heresphere and was able to pt using pcvr.

                                      @doublevr Please implement passthrough PCVR for DeoVR. It's possible with VirtualDesktop. I would prefer to stream my PT videos instead of watching them locally, which I dislike. I don’t have much HDD space =/
