250-400 ping? Are you routing your traffic via Africa?

My SLR speed test on the Quest 3/Pico 4 deovr is around 30-40 Mbps. I don't have any problems watching 8K videos, but I experience stuttering if I try to watch 120 FPS videos. I think the SLR standalone is limiting the speed. I get almost 900 Mbps when I run an SLR speed test on my computer. If I run an SLR test on the VR headset browser, I can get about 500 Mbps. I don't have any problems watching 120 FPS on PC VR.

Try doing slr speedtest on the quest browser instead of deovr, your speed will be around 350 mbps.

    renstimpy11 Hi 👋
Do you have the speed test ID for SLR?
When you tested speedtest.net, where was the test server located?

bboy7895 Can you please specify the app version?

Interesting results (SLR Site on Meta Browser No VPN):
      Test 1: Speed test id: 272657: Ping 137, 51mbps, 58mbps
      Test 2 : Speed test id: 272658: Ping 264, 22mbps, 72mbps
Both were connected to CDN Beauharnois-1, CA

Results (SLR on DeoVR No VPN):
      Test 1 : Speed test id: 272659: Ping 627, 37mbps, 21mbps
      Test 2 : Speed test id: 272660: Ping 671, 29mbps, 17mbps
Both were connected to CDN Beauharnois-1, CA

I get 300+mbps on speedtest.net no matter the server (I have 1 gig fiber)

... Obviously can't use the Meta Browser to access SLR, there seems to be no AI PT and the controls are too clunky 😅

      SLR on Heresphere No VPN:
      Test 1: Speed test id : 272661 : Ping 136, 52mbps, 76mbps
      Test 2 : Speed test id : 272662 : Ping 249, 53mbps, 52mbps
Both were connected to CDN Beauharnois-1, CA

... The API button in Heresphere still does nothing, not sure what politics are involved here cause pretty sure the Dev for Heresphere has tried to get it working

It remains a big mystery why the speedtest results in DeoVR are (and always have been) so much lower than when doing the speedtest on the SLR website which uses the same CDN location. Does DeoVR intentionally cap the bandwith or are the results just inaccurate?

bboy7895 The problem with 8K 120 FPS seems to be that Q3 or Pico cannot decode them properly. These videos will also stutter when downloaded and played locally, so not a bandwidth/speed issue. I understand there are currently only eight 8K 120 FPS videos on SLR. Older 6K 120 fps videos should play fine. Check it out:

        8K 120 fps: https://www.sexlikereal.com/scenes/beautiful-melody-in-your-room-46888
        6K 120 fps: https://www.sexlikereal.com/scenes/stepsister-seduction-33623

Ugh. All pointed at multiple servers in my CDN city. Rounded average of multiple tests each.
600 Mbps 20 ms latency using wired connection.
200 Mbps 30 ms latency using wifi.
200 Mbps 30 ms latency using Quest 3 wifi on speedtest.net.
100 Mbps 100 ms latency using Quest 3 wifi on SLR website.
75 Mbps 200 ms latency using Quest 3 wifi on DeoVR.

For shits, I ran some tests using 5G cellular (tower is far away so not great even on a good day).
60 Mbps 75 ms latency using cellular.
45 Mbps 100 ms latency using Quest 3 cellular on speedtest.net.
35 Mbps 400 ms latency using Quest 3 cellular on SLR website.
5 Mbps 700 ms latency using Quest 3 cellular on DeoVR.

I think you can see a trend or two there.

EDIT: I also tried out PCVR using the Link cable with my Quest 3
120 Mbps 140 ms latency using Quest 3 PCVR on DeoVR.

SchnuppiLilac im not talking about 8k 120 fps, but 6k 120 fps. I have no problem streaming 6k@120fps on pcvr, but on standalone, the video just stutter like crazy. I already did the speedtest on deovr standalone, and it maxed out at 40 mbps. There's something wrong with deovr standalone app.

Are you guys able to stream 6k@120 fps on standalone vr?

bboy7895 The speedtest results I get in DeoVR/Q3 are not really better than yours (sometimes 37, sometimes 47 Mbps) but I don't see any stuttering when streaming 6K 120 fps. What doesn't work for 120 fps or 90 fps is AI PT (masks are out of sync) but this is not a streaming speed issue.

SchnuppiLilac Thats weird, its def not a headset issue, because it happen on my quest 2/quest 3/pico4/pico 4 ultra. I honestly just dled all of my fav 120 fps videos and watching it through dlna, so I dont get any stutter while watching it on standalone.

Recently, I started using deovr on pcvr again and man, the 120 fps videos looks way smoother which makes it even more immersive, imo.

              AlexSLR Good Morning Sir 🙂,
These speedtest results I'm seeing... why is no one able to get any where near their full bandwidth speeds with these CDNs? Lots of 30-50mbps... is there some kind of throttling by the CDNs?

jnicoraxxx That's the lowest Ping I've seen... what's your location? If you don't mind 😉 ... and no VPN?

AlexSLR Interesting... just did a test on my Samsung S23. SLR website on Firefox browser... got Ping 152, 131mbps, 119mbps. Speed test ID : 272946
I get 300-350 on Speedtest.net no matter the server on my S23.
CDN performance seems to be lacking on the Q3 via DeoVR for some reason...
