  • DeoVR Web vs DeoVR App

On the Quest 3, the DeoVR App, pitch can be changed using the remote (and of course custom mapping). When using web-based DeoVR from the browser, we only have control for zoom. It would be great to be able to alter pitch as well. Pitch and Zoom seem like the two most used adjustments.

Thanks.

Hi, by "Deovr from browser" you probably mean our Hub (webxr).
We appreciate your feedback, so would be glad to hear if there is anything else you feel is missing from our headset browser Hub?

memew13402 the two are very different technologies. While we try to build similar experience with the native Deovr app and webxr these won't be identical

doublevr Does 'very different technologies' mean that it is technically not feasible to assign functions other than zoom to the controller or that it is not planned to do so? Think of current SLR AR PT videos: The scale is fine, so no need for zooming. But being able to reposition the video in PT is essential, and for that you currently need to stop the video and open menus and fiddle around with pitch and yaw sliders, which is tedious and certainly killing all the fun.

doublevr you can adjust it more easily with grip and trigger button

The point of this thread was that exactly this doesn't work in the WebXR-based hub and that it would be great if it would. Grip + trigger in the Hub does the same as trigger alone which is summoning the UI.

Hi, is there any update to this? Pitch/Roll still cannot be adjusted with Quest 3 remote in WebXR Player, which renders it useless.

As mentioned above, even replacing Zoom with Roll on Control Stick would be a huge improvement.
