phiber the problem you mention is entirely imagined
Why are you minimizing the impact of your chosen solution while there is clearly a better fix available that accomplishes your desires while at the same time not lessening others' experience of the site?
phiber more than one month old
Minimizing for no valid reason. Under your solution, if a scripter waits a year or a month or a week or a day to publish their script then the result is the same: that scene jumps to the top of New AGAIN. Cluttering the feed with scenes that are clearly not new.
I looked at that first page of https://old.sexlikereal.com/tags/sex-toy-scripts-vr?sort=most_recent and more than 50% of those scripts were released a day or more after the scene release date. *
Over the last 2 weeks 20 scripts have been released a day or more after the scene. * Under your plan all 20 of those of those scenes would have jumped back up to the top of New over the last two weeks.
Not only would that have been an annoyance for users, it would have been unfair for the studios whose truly new scenes get pushed down the list while "old" scenes get another round of "new release bump".
SLR has chosen to forbid other types of gaming of "New" why would they allow this?
- NOTE: SLR's summary "one week ago" BS hides the actual dates --you can see the actual release dates in the page code.
- NOTE: Im probably missing some late scripts because I couldn't be assed to unhide the dozens of studios/tags I don't care for.
