Why going all flat? Flat videos look awesome in VR 🔥 You can hate me know, but you are going to love it once you see the whole SLR magic turning flat amazing. VR production simply can't match all the variety and greatness of flat. With flat we are expanding our library from 40k to 500k videos by year-end. Think of SLR most popular performers getting a ton of flat content on top of VR making us above any competition. This shift removes many VR constraints, opening our offerings to a much larger audience—and we’ll pair it with AI scripts, PT, and more. Just think how many new users will stumble on (and fall in love with) SLR when they can watch on any device, anytime! All the features we have are going to double and triple in a number of users.

Flat schedule:

  • Start uploading flat videos by the end of Jan with JAV-like ON/OFF toggle. Later on we will be offering for these Scripts, AI SBS, AI PT, vr player multi screen. Really cool to be watched in VR and smartphones with all the variety and popular creators
  • Making SLR work with DeoVR iPhone & Android apps coming late Feb: We’re optimizing VR content for smartphones (including stereo-to-mono conversion with auto Region of Interest) so people can enjoy the full experience on the go. This means Handy, BYOJ, and PT can follow them around without a VR headset.
    Shorts by June/July: TikTok-style clips—fun, hypnotizing, and endlessly swipeable! With an instant switch to full-length videos on phone or VR. This is where we’ll really hook everyone.

    Is AI scripts for slr drive this month?

      The potential this has is quite intense.

          doublevr Agree with the other posters that asked for more info about what you mean by “flat,” which sounds a lot like not 3D. Is a flat video on a VR headset just like watching a regular (i.e. not 3D VR) video on a big flat screen?

              Do you guys know how the scaling looks shot by the BlackMagic camera?

                  Aw, where's the part deovr will be available on ruku, amazon fire and smart tvs? I want to see deovr next to Netflix and YouTube! Deovr or jillvr should be available on tvs, I use ruku and nothing on there says VR, as a consumer if i saw deo "vr" on the list of apps I'd be curious about the vr and download it, might even convince me to buy a headset considering the content I find 😏 jillvr bro! Hummm.

                    Thanks for the response. I looked at the message board you linked, and it seems somewhat inconsistent with what you said above, so just trying to understand the plan. Above in this thread (your first post) you said SLR is “going all flat,” but in the message board you linked, it sounds like flat will just be an addition to SLR’s current format (which in my entirely tech ignorant mind I just think of as 3d VR). So is SLR “going all flat” in the sense that it is completely changing its format? Or is it just adding an additional option of flat videos (again, in my mind meaning not 3d VR, but rather just standard 2d videos).

                    It also sounds above like SLR is maybe moving away from producing SLR Original VR 3d videos and just making regular 2d videos (albeit with impressive production quality), am I understanding that correctly? Thanks again.

                      At least for me, "Going all flat" and the whole Why-going-all-flat paragraph strongly implies that SLR is abandoning 3D VR.
                      It may be worth clarifying because, if 3D VR is being abandoned, that is an incredibly drastic change to the SLR format.

                      I can only guess at your intent, but I'd like to think that you meant something like:
                      "going to get all the flat videos we can get"

                        I'm all for that! Would like to see many productions on here! I could mention them but it's a long list of studios!

                        But adding more 2d sounds great! I Hope see vrhush and realjamvr behind the scenes 2d footage they be producing, ultimately I want that in vr but if I can get it in 2d in vr thats a start! I enjoy bts! and pornstar hotties could do their own channels! That be great too! I like vlog-ish content, vrp needs to get more vlog-ish imo.

                            DeoVR for Apple Vision Pro sounds like a big deal. Totally disagree about the going all flat philosophy. I would not invest too much money into that. Not interested. I’m done with flat porn.
