  • What happened to the script requests button?

What happened to the script requests button? It seemed useful for determining the popularity of videos people wanted scripts for. I noticed it disappeared from the interface the other day.

    iknowbob, hi!
The "Script Requests" button was removed from both the app and the website as part of updates to streamline the interface. If you have specific script suggestions or feedback, feel free to share them here! Always happy to pass ideas along to the team.

...unfortunately, the vast majority of people who use SLR but don't use the forum won't have a clue how to request a script for an unscripted scene. Also, i was under the impression that the button was specifically to request HAND MADE scripts, but that might be confirmation bias. It could equally have been used by people to request an (anything) script for an unscripted thing they just found. But nobody knew! It was far too vague

i think you need a script request button for scenes that don't have scripts that appeal to people who want one. Why remove the appearance of being able to offer your consumers a form of choice? People like to assume they have agency, even if it's just hitting buttons like a monkey, it all helps keep us happy...

Edit: Also, i personally found it interesting to see how much traction a request was getting as a metric of interest. If you do reinstate the button, can you put all that metadata back, please? Sorry, i'm a massive nerd...

Its debatable whether the script request counter had any impact on script creators' choices of which scenes to script. The most prolific scripters appear to stick with their preferred studios/niches/models regardless of the counter (except by coincidence). I would imagine that the scripter's personal porn preferences and how difficult the scene would be to script would have a larger impact on their choice of scenes.

Any script creators want to chime in here and let us know whether the script request button/counter was something they paid attention to?

...yeah, i think you're probably right fuccaneer, certainly since the advent of AI scripts, the HC side has gone even more niche. Anyone in SLR wanna chime in on whether the button actually had any use at all, or had become totally redundant?

Still think SLR should give people moar button to push, cos it's fun. Just don't tell anyone they don't do anything... xD

I don't think there was much use for that button, especially with ai scripts.

fuccaneer I am a scripter for the platform. I do select based on the model and theme of the scene to a minimal extent. That is 20% of why I choose to script a scene. The other 80% is based on the popularity of the scene(script requests, views, and age of video to request/views ratio). If the views are high and it is a 1-year-old video that I like but has 9 requests, I won't script that one normally. However, if that same scene has let us say 50 requests, it will get scripted as soon as I can. So the requests have a MAJOR impact on me.

iknowbob requests have dropped a lot lately and we are optimising UI now to keep the most essential things only. It's way overcrowded the way it's now
