yeah, I thought the inclusion of the banner on the subscriber interface was either an unfortunate mistake or, if deliberate, pointless. But it was fairly easy to ignore (like most web ads) and didnt appear to be clickable in VR mode.
However, it urns out clicks on it were opening up tabs in my regular non-PCVR browser. So it was essentially a "pop-up" ad for a service of which I am already a lifetime subscriber.
