I've noticed lately that many 8k videos are corrupted towards the end. Can you please investigate.
Corrupted 8k videos
Are you downloading?

Hey @Hillman1970 , same question as the one above, are you referring to downloading?
Yes
It seems to happen every time now, so down load is not working.
Hi Hillman1970 checked on our end, works as intended. Do you have a specific video for us to check?
Hillman1970 If you are downloading with your browser, use a dedicated download manager, works wonders.
Sorry for the delay getting back, thanks for the support and ideas
I did a few tests, as follows,
It does not happen on any other sites.
2 examples where it does happen are:
VRinAsia Namwhan Horny Asian....... 8k, payback problem from around 26:44
FuckPass Melody Marks Native Flower Of Cincinnati 8k, payback problem from around 41:22
I will try the Melody video but which version did you download, the smaller 8K (9,5 gb) or the original version (29,5 GB)?
Thanks for the support
It happens on about 70% of your 8k videos.
I've watched my down loads, they are clean and constant for start to finish and still have the problem,
Just tested the Melody 8K version on Windows PC (SLR player & MPC player) and the Quest 2 in VR (DeoVR streaming & HS from PC), all played fine all video through. The file downloaded quick & without problems also.
I saw your comment beneath the video,, not fair if you're asking me if the problem is on your side.
As already noted above, a dedicated download manager is most likely the way to fix any issues with 8K downloads.
Whilst it can happen occasionally on downloads (where the link is not correct), issues of incomplete files have been rare in my experience with SLR, over many months.
Strongly suggest installing and using Free Download Manager (it is free!).
Chrome and Chrome download apps just don't work consistently enough (and it's not SLR's fault).
Hillman1970 Agreed with the comments above, no anomalies on our side when it comes to downloads. I would highly suggest exploring the alternatives provided, and maybe try using a different browser as an additional attempt. This would be tricky to troubleshoot on our end
Thanks again for all the support.
Sorry about my comment I have deleted it. It was/is based it on the fact that this is the only site where I have this issue, so far this remains the case which begs the question why?
When I get time I will look into a down load manager.
I have been using IDM download manager and it does solve the issue. Its down load speed is no better than using Chrome but I have fiber to home. If you include the appending file segments time it is slower. I have been downloading to an external HHD via USBC to Thinkpad and then USB3 to HDD, I found that using Chrome and downloading to the PC, and then copying to the external HDD also solves the problem. In all this takes about the same time as using IDM, but requires the second intervention of copying the file.
In addition, previously videos downloaded via chrome would keep pausing when played on my PC but would be ok on my better machine. Using IDM they now play fine on both. This suggest that previously even when I thought they were good, there was something not quite right?
So thanks for the support and ideas, maybe this review can help others
Hey @Hillman1970 , thanks for sharing the experience, that stuff is good to know! Yeah, from what I can see, downloading somewhere not directly on your PC was what was causing the hiccup. I've experienced that with videos in the past when trying to download something directly on a USB, so it could be a file loss due to re-routing perhaps?
In any case, it's quality info and much appreciated. Cheers ️
