Other studios take note - study how the closeup was done here, this is the right way to do it!

On the length of video debate, we have seen other studios do incredible long-form scenes (VRPlayful really stands out there). But that doesn't mean shorter scenes can't also be great. Feel free to experiment. I think the shorter scenes are working for you.

LittleCaprice You made a 4 part scene, with the cum shot in the final part. Nothing wrong with that but it's not 4 separate scenes in my mind, it's 1 great 4 part scene, like a TV mini series. In a complete scene, the guy should cum IMHO, for most genres. So it's less about length and more about a full encounter, where it's a 15 min blowjob with cum or 1 hour session with several positions.

It's a similar concept to the Adriana Chechik 5 part scene for VR Bangers, where little vignettes were produced and released every week, but only one cum shot, at the end. If the majority of scenes are 40+ minute long then, of course, the majority of the up voted scenes are also going to be 40+ minute long. If your theory was correct then we would see a proportional falloff of votes and length, and that's not true. While there are many short vids at the bottom of the rankings they appear to be mostly solos or trailers/previews. Plenty 40+ minute long scenes stacked across the rankings.

It's not about the length, but how you use it.

maxsavage First of all, there are almost 38,000 scenes on this site. I'm not sure the majority of them are longer than 40 minutes, in fact, I don't think they are. Only someone on the SLR staff with access to backend data would really know. Unless SLR make a way to sort scenes by duration, it's impossible to make that assumption confidently.

Also, I don't think you contradicted me. I never said that length alone determines a scene’s ranking. What I said is that longer runtimes enable creators to include a wider variety of popular positions, and that combination is what makes scenes more appealing.

Here’s the winning formula for a well-balanced full-scene experience used by most of studios, the order might be changed:

• 5 min – Intro & teasing
• 5 min – Blowjob
• 10 min – Cowgirl (CG) & Reverse Cowgirl (RCG)
• 5 min – Doggy
• 5 min – Missionary
• 5 min – Close-up missionary
• 5 min – Outro with male orgasm

SLR scenes nowadays often run 50 minutes to 1 hour just to allow both seated and laying versions of CG & RCG that adds about 10 more minutes. Add to that solo/body worship segments (pussy eating, armpits, or lesbian play in multi-girl scenes), which add another 5 to 10 minutes.

When there are multiple girls, SLR goes up to 1h30 to 2h, to give a fair share of each position with each girl.

This structure isn’t arbitrary, it’s designed to appeal to as many users as possible. If you try to do all this in just 20–30 minutes, you’re either forced to skip one or two positions entirely, or rush through them with only 2–3 minutes per position, which ends up disappointing everyone. People skip scenes that don’t cater to their favorite parts.

Of course, other factors matter too, like model popularity, camera work, performance, dirty talk, lighting, image and sound quality, editing, and so on. But if the core structure mentioned isn’t there to begin with, none of those extras can save the scene.

For example, I personally love doggy. If a scene doesn’t include it, there’s a 90% chance I’m skipping it. Someone else might be watching just for the close-up missionary, or another specific position. Now, if you tell me there are people who prefer shorter scenes sure, that’s true, and there are plenty of them. But the beauty of a structured, full-length scene is that it can cater to both types of viewers. Those who want only a few minutes can skip to what they like, they get their 5-minute experience within the 1-hour scene. But it doesn’t work the other way around.
