Hello Everyone,
I'm sure many of us have noticed a growing problem on SLR that I believe needs to be addressed. Some studios are reuploading old videos or stitching together multiple old videos. While it's understandable that studios want to maximize their content's reach, this practice feels more like an attempt to generate views for profit without providing new value to the viewers. This trend is frustrating for viewers who are looking for fresh and original content but end up encountering these reposts instead. This dilutes the quality of the content available on SLR.
As I don't like to complain without suggesting ways to fix issues, I propose the introduction of a new category specifically for these types of videos, which could be labeled as "Reposts" or something similar. This category would be mandatory for any reposts or edited versions of old videos and SLR could enforce disciplinary actions of their choosing on studios that don't use it.
Additionally, SLR should implement a toggle feature allowing users to choose whether they want to see these reposts in their feeds. This functionality would be akin to the existing toggle for compilation or JAV videos, providing a straightforward way for users to filter their content according to their preferences. By categorizing and giving users the option to exclude reposts from their feed, we ensure that viewers have a more enjoyable and valuable experience. This would also organically decrease user engagement of reposted content.
Thank you for considering this suggestion and feel free to engage in conversation about different approaches to fix this problem.
