  • What's the best VR Player in 2024?

Was using Deo VR in the past but after looking at the reviews I noticed most of them were 1 star and I'm guessing that means people like others better so I'm trying to figure out which is best to buy here is a few I have been thinking about.

Moon VR Video Player

Skybox VR Video Player

4XVR Video Player

It appears that all of these 3 support using external USB thumb drives and hard drives which would be nice since my quest is currently out of space and streaming is not an option for me because my speeds are only 100mbs and it glitches all the videos quality if I try to stream.

So yeah if you guys could please let me know which player is best?
Also does anyone know if any of these players show thumbnails for your locally or USB stored videos?

I only know deo and heresphere: deo very practical, very easy to use, herosphere you have to get used to (and then it's cool): my choice after having used deo for a long time: heresphere because better graphic quality

Scripts with Kiiroo Keon work?

DeoVR. I don't wanna look at a Boeing 777 flight deck when I just wanna watch porn and quickly tweak a couple of settings, plus it's free

DeoVR, as of the latest update at least, has turned to ****. Awful, crashes all the time, gives an error about low memory, sometimes won't even open. For me personally, up until the very last update it had been working perfectly fine for me. To make matters worse, DeoVR don't even allow you to roll back to an earlier app like most other apps DO allow for. I've given up with DeoVR now. I use SkyBox however not for streaming direct from websites. I use an older SLR app before they discontinued it, and that currently still works great for SLR website.

Heresphere has an awful UI in my opinion and also can not play from USB. Not to mention it's like $30 for that horrendous UI.

I've not tried 4XVR or Moon

I use DeoVR for streaming here on SLR. It works fine and I never had issues. Its UI is also easily accessible and straightforward.

For downloaded videos I use HereSphere. It was easy to setup and get to work with my NAS server which was a priority and the quality I get streamed to my headset is amazing. On top of that I think it's easier to dial scaling issues which is something I often have to do. It has a cumbersome UI though.

In general though both work fine for the job I need them to do.

Still waiting for Heresphere to come to Pico 4 so DeoVR for now.
