SLR is the ONLY VR platform with this high quality of passthrough VR. Innovation is important. Being able to deliver something your competitors cant is important.

That being said...
What do you mean by "games".
I feel almost any VR porn game I have "played" is really just a scene selection.
(Girl on bed, do you choose blowjob or anal) which is not that different from just jumping to the blowjob or anal scene in a normal video.

I've been sinking a lot of time into Virt-a-mate/VaMX. Just as @justsomedude101 mentioned, it's a really steep curve to get something out of it, but I've enjoyed it a lot.

Immersion is incredibly powerful because of 6-DoF (video can only approximate), and even voice control for interactivity. (Just say "I'm cumming" rather than play target practice to hit the right button.)

Many creations in VaM are as you describe, plain pick-the-position scenes, with no "game" to it. Out of dissatisfaction, I'm making something with story, choices and (limited) reactivity. Which is also an advantage since you can make the exact content you want to see - if you have the time to waste.

On topic: Games on SLR could be neat, but seems extremely costly to develop? Passthrough would be a valuable feature.

An advantage in a VR game (VaM as prime example) is that the action can be 1:1 translated into haptics/toys.

So either: your controller (while holding/attached to a fleshlight/toy, etc.) fully dictates the action on screen (e.g. female head or hip position), OR the action on screen can be fully transmitted to a handy/keon like realtime, on-the-fly scripting.

The (most advanced) games have come a long way from "my hand holds a dildo and I can shove it somewhere", which always seemed like a second-class interaction. 😆

While its not zero-sum, resources are limited: like manpower, time, expertise, R&D money, cloud processing, etc.
So the question SLR needs to ask itself is: is it worth diverting resources away from their core business to support an essentially side hustle like VR porn games? What is the potential return on investment here compared with VR video? My guess would be that VR games would represent an advertising bullet that may have a decent on driving new subs and have a smaller impact on retention income. However, it seems suspect to quantify those potential VR games "ups" as better than the impact of, for example, increasing the number downloadable AI scripts, or speeding up the weekly SLRO release schedule, or attracting better producers, etc etc.
SLR has the numbers for previous experiments to make that call--I wonder if https://www.sexlikereal.com/flat was ever worth the investment.

It's hard to say what will be a good return on investment. Scripts and Passthrough technology set SLR apart. Was that a good investment? Fuck yeah it is.

Filling the void can be incredibly lucrative. Right now, there is not a single VR Porn game that exists that someone can actually think is "good". They are all unrefined, basic, and boring.

So what if SLR actually made a GOOD VR porn game? Right now the idea is almost inconceivable because none exist so we are all thinking about the current vr porn games, which again....kind of suck ass.

So should SLR make vr porn games in their current form? Hell no those are garbage. But what if they made some that were not garbage? That could be incredibly interesting.

Also...VR porn games of good quality will eventually happen. That is really the only way to take VR porn to the next level. Right now we have passthrough VR porn to put ourselves in the scene. But we cant interact really, we are subject to the played out scene. A HIGH QUALITY VR porn game would blow everyone's minds and take VR porn to the next level. But making a good one? Probably a fair bit of a challenge.

Assuming all things being equal meaning your passthrough ai etc doesn't dip in quality.

If you can create a realistic game, with quality AI included in it you will print money.

I have played a couple of VR porn games, and the problem I always have its hard to touch your self, and select options in the game at the same time. Unless you are sitting down. But if you want immersion, you got to be in the same pov as the character.

Being able to tell the ai to switch langauges would be cool perk, being able to change personality types, I feel those Japenese games like custom maid 3D have a good base in terms of being able to create characters and personality of the characters. Than you can have people create waifus, from anime and other popular shows, etc.

Allow the community to be able to create/cuztomize models
Allow AR to be included as well.

Once like the base engine is setup, than you can use this to create different types of scenarios.

I'm kind of explaining VaM, but I feel VaM is kind of clunky, the controllers are confusing, its hard to setup, kind of buggy, etc.
