I don't know all the details, but what strikes me is that VR is one of the few facets of porn that many will gladly pay for, as we feel the product is worthy, and want to support that product/service. That is huge in the face of porn's history, where the great majority don't feel it's worthy to pay for, and will either stick to free content or will pirate.
Now I guess one could say that OF is similar, where many will pay for that as well, but while I know this is factually true, it's still hard to fathom because most of OF is a scam (texting with a handler), so this is more a result of there being a mass of desperate, thirsty simps, in comparison to actually being a worthy product.
With this in mind, it would seem there has to be good opportunity to make money from VR porn as compared to the old 2D porn.
On a side note, it doesn't help grow the market when you have a bunch of mob/cult-members running around pushing bullshit, anymore than it helped Disney make movies and destroy legacy franchises, Bud-Light to sell beer, etc.
